Obituary: Restored in body, mind and spirit through Jesus Christ her Savior on 29th, 2014. Born to Roy and Clara Edman on 8th, 1931 in Alvarado, Minnesota. She was raised on a farm, in this rural community until she attended Hennepin General Nurses Training in 1949 and 1950. She married Kenneth L Bergstrom on 8th, 1950. lived in Brooklyn , Wayzata, and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. During this time they raised their family of three sons and were blessed to see their grandchildren grow to maturity. As a consummate homemaker, Joan enjoyed serving others while assisting Ken in his business ventures. were active members of Hope Lutheran Church, Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free Church, and New Hope Community Church. Upon moving to Fort Worth, Texas in 2004, they attended Park Glen Baptist Church. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Bergstrom; parents Roy & Clara Edman; and siblings Rhoda, Roger, and Theodore Edman. Joan is survived by her sons Von (Erika) of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Kal (Marilyn) of Trophy Club, Texas and Kym (Bernadette) of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren Krista Bergstrom, Seth (Heather) Bergstrom, Bethany (David) Rinn, Emily (Caleb) Durenberger, and Amanda Bergstrom; great-grandchildren Isaac Rinn, and Emma Rinn. Sisters Lucille Johnson of Marietta, Georgia and Dorothy Manz of Alvarado, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. |

Obituary: Ann Jeanette Bergsten, 8o, of Sun City, Texas, died , 7, 2015. She was born to the late Henry and Lina Kneese, May 24, 1934, in Fredericksburg, Texas. Ann graduated Valedictorian from Fredericksburg High School in 1951 and attended Texas State University in San Marcos. She married Glenn Roland Bergsten in 1953. spent twenty years traveling around the United States and Europe while Glenn served in the Air Force. Upon his retirement, they settled in Austin in 1967, and enjoyed an active life in and around the Hill Country of Texas. In 1994 they moved to Sun City. Ann worked as a manager for the IRS until her retirement. She enjoyed the varied challenges of the job, but her favorite aspect of being a manager was working with others. Ann was a member of The Worship Place in Sun City where she enjoyed volunteering her time. She loved to travel and spent many hours as navigator while she and Glenn (known to all as Ron) traveled in their RV. She and her husband also took more than 10 cruises during their 62 years together. Ann enjoyed socializing and playing Mahjong with her friends. Ann is survived by her husband; Glenn, her daughter; Linda Purvis and her husband, Larry, of Buda, Texas. She is also survived by two granddaughters; Alicia Dees and Lauren Marion; and five great grandchildren; Rayleigh, Karah, Kylah, Tyler and Aiden. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the website copdfoundation.org. A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on , 10, 2015 at Cook Walden-Davis in Georgetown, Texas. The memorial service will follow the visitation at 3pm. Inurnment will be at Central Texas State Veterans at a later date.
