Obituary: Carlos J. Berber, 64, Westbrook went to be with his Lord and savior on , 22, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on 21, 1951 in Pasadena to the late Jesus and Estefana Cortez Berber. Carlos held many jobs throughout his life but the one he found the most joy in was that of being a tractor-trailer driver. He would take his family out on the road with him each time he had the chance and in the summer time his son and daughter would take turns making road trips with him. He was a man who was strong in his faith and that loved his children more than life itself. When not on the road it was obvious that he was at home as the home would be filled with joy and laughter because he was always cracking jokes. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering around with many projects or watching football, especially the Broncos or the Texans. He enjoyed football so much that he had an extensive collection of jerseys. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Colorado City and a former member of the National Horseshoe Pitching Association. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Karen Berber whom he married on 4, 1990 in Slocum TX, and by his daughter Hannah Blankenship and husband Jarrett of Colorado City and his son Hardy Berber and wife Whitney of Smithville, as well as by his granddaughter Evelyn Berber. Also surviving are his brothers David Berber and Joel Berber both of Oakhurst and his sisters Sarah Villasenor and husband Vince of Houston and Stephanie Harris of Oakhurst as well as by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Estefana Berber. A funeral service for Carlos will be held at the First Baptist Church of Colorado City at 2pm on , 25th with Doctor Jerry Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City . Pall-Bearers for services will be 3 nephews Joel Berber, Trevor Berber and Terry Harris, and 3 friends Bubba Limones, Nick Shrode, and Jimmy Brown. A visitation for Carlos will be held on the 24th from 6-8 pm at the Kiker-Seale . In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Gentiva Hospice.
