Obituary: Mildred Doris Benningfield of Leander, Texas, passed away on 24, 2016. She was born in Austin, Texas on 28, 1935 to Willie and Edna Simons. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband, Edward for over 57 years until his death in 2010. Mildred and Edward had been together since elementary school. Mildred was also preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Ava. Mildred will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved and cherished her family, devoting her life to the care of her many family members. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Coy and Troy, and daughter, Delila, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on , 28, 2016 at the Cook-Walden Davis in Georgetown, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on , 29, 2016 in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis with the Reverend Connie Simons, Jr. officiating the service with a reception to follow in the Southwestern Room at the funeral home. Obituary: Edward Coy Benningfield of Leander, lost his battle to cancer on 17, 2010. He was born in Austin on 17, 1934 to George and Mattie Benningfield. Edward was a dedicated and loving husband to Mildred for over 57 years, his one true love since the young age of eight. He was a hard working provider and a teacher to his children. Edward taught his family how to love, laugh, and live life to its fullest. He was a loving, caring, compassionate and generous man who always had a smile on his face and joke to share. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Mildred; his son, Coy and wife Kathleen, and their two children Lauren and Rory; his son, Troy and his three children Jay, Ross, and Brad; his daughter, Delila Hill and her four children Mildred, Debra, Mattie, and Joseph; and his daughter, Ava Benningfield-McDonnell and her husband Shawn and their three children Brandie, Bob, and Tommy. He was also survived by his 22 precious great-grandchildren. Edward is preceeded in death by his mother Mattie, father George, and grandson, Dennis. We love you Daddy, you will be dearly missed. The family received guest from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the evening on , 19, 2010 at the Cook-Walden Davis in Georgetown. Services were held at 3:00 P.M. in the afternoon on , 20, 2010 in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis .
