Memorial Mass will be 7 p.m., , 12, 2014 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Visitation and Rosary will be 6 to 8 p.m. , 11th at Connally/Compton Directors. Mrs. Benavidez was born on 9,1927 to Jose and Felicitas Silva in Waco. She married the late Vincent Benavidez in 1956. She is survived by her two sons, Vincent Louis and Victor of San Antonio; two sisters; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to The Virginia S. Benavidez Memorial Fund at any Chase Bank. |

Obituary: Silvia Benavidez was born 30,1958 and passed from this life on 17, 2013 at the age of 54. She was born in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico and was one of 12 children born to Alejandro and Eduvijes Garcia. Silvia married Willie Benavidez on 12, 1978 in Alpine TX. had two daughters; Kelly, age 33 and Christina, age 30. Silvia dedicated her life to her family and was a loving mother and wife. She loved to take care of her grandchildren, "Juanito", age 4, and Sally, 6 months. Silvia joins her father, Alejandro, and her brother, 'Kiko" in Heaven. Obituary: Rosalie Gil Benavidez was born 4, 1923 of Juan and Maria Gil in Taft, TX and soon after the family moved to Raymondville, TX where she began her education. For the next 12 years she studied hard and earned her high school diploma graduating summa cum laude. She went on to higher education and earned a masters degree in business administration, again graduating summa cum laude. Shortly after beginning her doctorate studies she married Ignacio Bowie Benavidez in 1950. Putting education on hold, they moved to Houston, TX and soon began a family. Their son Ely was the first born followed by Maria Mona Lisa (Sister Jacinta), Sylvia B. Kempinski, and Elizabeth (Baby) R. Gonzalez. Rosalie lived a long and full life. She was faithful to her God, the Catholic Church, and her family every day of her life. |

Obituary: Rene P. Benavidez, Sr., 89, passed away on 19, 2017. He was born in Falfurrias, TX on 10, 1928 to Guadalupe and Genoveva Benavidez. He was married to Maria Rangel Benavidez on 14, 1944. Rene worked in Berry Contract INC. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers and was well known for his cigars, cowboy’s hats, cowboy boots, ranch and love for his children. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Rangel Benavidez; and his children: Anita Benavidez, Rene (MaryAnn) Benavidez, Jr., Marguerite (Jose) Smith, Robert Benavidez, Rudolfo Castro, Lodubico (Christine) Castro, Jr., and Eulogio Castro as well as his siblings. Rene is survived by his children: Gloria (Jesus Sr.) Jasso, Elva (Modesto) Zavala, Beatrice B. Trevino, Marilynn B. Verduzco, Larry (Susan) Benavidez and Hortencia (Robert) Keiser; he also leaves behind to cherish his memories, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his companion, Margarita V. Cade. Visitation will be held on , 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Memory Gardens with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.
