Obituary: Wanda Jewell Beck, of Lake Jackson, was born , 15, 1930 in Benjamin, Texas to Clifford C. and Minnie Proffit Neal and died , 23, 2010 in Angleton at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 8 days. She spent many years working as a bookkeeper and mother! She was a hard worker and enjoyed bowling as long as her health allowed. She loved life and had a quick wit. She was very involved with her children, watching them play ball and proud of all of them. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Beck and the last love of her life, Roger Walton. She is survived by her sons, Billy Beck and Benny Beck; daughter, Betty Beck; brothers, Garland, Harvey and Danny Neal; many nieces and nephews; caregiver, Pat Herndon and the ladies and gentlemen of the Lake Jackson Manor Apartments. There will not be any public visitation, but her guestbook will be available from 9:00 am until service time. services will be held at 2:00 pm , 28, 2010 at the Restwood Chapel with Chaplain Thomas Lester officiating. Obituary: Services for Virginia Lee Beck, 73, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 6, 2015 at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church, with Bro. Ford Adkins officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. , 8, 2015 in Crossroads in Smackover, Arkansas Mrs. Beck was born 16, 1941 and passed away 3, 2015 in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Arnettia (Peters) and Baxter Morgan. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Beck was very involved in her church and loved gospel music. She attended many concerts. Mrs. Beck enjoyed laughing and joking around, and the outdoors and yard work. Mrs. Beck worked in lead assembly at Lockheed-Martin. Survivors include husband Ronald Beck of Lufkin; sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Roberson and William Michael and Robin Roberson, all of Smackover, AR; she also raised her daughters girls, Kerbie and Cressida; 7 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 step-daughters, Colleen Ham of Jackson, Michigan and Cathy Sbrusch and Thomas of Angleton; one step-son, John Beck, also of Angleton; sisters, Gloria and Geneva; brother, Lynn; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Roberson in 2005; daughter, Wendy Holmes; sons, Ricky Roberson and Steve Roberson; and several brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Timbers Cowboy Church, P. O. Box 118, Lufkin, TX 75902 or to Relay for Life for Angelina , 900 East Denman, Lufkin, TX 75901. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
