Services will be held at 2:00 pm on , 22, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2520 8th Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76110. Bishop Joseph Milne will officiate. Burial will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on , 21, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Laurel Land , 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76134. Joseph was born on 14, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the only child of Clarence Beck and Ella Mae Knight Beck. He married Sheila Arrington on 20, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah. made their home in Fort Worth in 1972 where they raised their two children. Joseph worked at Lockheed Martin for 32 years as an electrician. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served as Bishop and volunteered at the Alice Contreras Elementary School. Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Sheila Beck of Fort Worth, daughter Jennifer Beck, and son Shane Beck and his wife Tiffiny. Gifts to a charity of the givers choice are appreciated. Obituary: Joseph Dale Beck, 86, passed away peacefully at his home , 30th, 2010. Born in Nezperce, ID to Rudolf and Susan E. Beck, was raised in Bellaire and lived in Houston most of his life. For many years, Dale was an active member of Bellaire Presbyterian Church now Christ Church Presbyterian. A World War II veteran, he served with the 88th Division "Blue Devils" in Italy. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, was certified as Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and worked for Halliburton, Crouse-Hines, ITE and Brown and Root, Inc. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Masonic Lodge #1336 in Bellaire, the Arabian Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite. Survived by his wife Ruth (Curtis) Beck of 61 years; Two sons Kenneth and wife Beverly Beck, David Beck; One daughter Susan and husband Barry Rogers; Grandchildren Cheryl Loth, Kristy Allen and husband Luke, Jesse Rogers and Sarah Rogers; Great-grandson William Travis Allen. Obituary: John Henry Beck, Jr., 89, of the Holder Community passed away at his home , 29, 2014. Services will be held under the direction of Davis-Morris at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Holder. Pastor Richard Couch will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley . John H. Beck was born on 9, 1925 to John Henry and Myrtle Jewel Beck at the home place in the Holder Community. He served in World War II at Germany receiving many decorations including the Bronze Star. Later he moved to Lake Jackson, Texas where he retired from Dow Chemical with 35 years of service. For 17 years he served as the league president for fast pitch girls summer softball program in Lake Jackson. He came back to the home place where he was born. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Betty Ann Beck and one son Bobby Carol Beck, two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by two sons, Billy Fred Beck of Clute, Texas, and Benny Dale Beck of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Velma Lancaster of Early, Texas, Jewel Snow of Waterford, California, Vada Childers of Tye, Texas; one brother Adron Beck of May, Texas. Thank you to the Red Wagon, George and Ingram Barber shop, Bank of America, Trans Texas Tire, and the Rusty Anchor for the love and kindness shown to him. A special thanks to Sylvia Wilson for 7 years of love and care. Obituary: Joe Quinton Beck, 79, died 16, 2015, at his Dallas area home. He was born 8, 1935, in Rotan, Texas. He grew up and attended high school in Bryson, Texas. graduating from Abilene Christian University in 1958, he began his career as a sports writer in Wichita Falls. gaining some experience, he moved on to become a sports writer for the Dallas Morning News (1963 - 1966). Buddy had a lifelong interest in politics and became a paid staffer for the Republican Party of Texas and, in 1969, became Executive Director of the Dallas Republican Party. Most of his professional life, however, was spent in Public Relations for the Atlantic Richfield Co. (ARCO). He was an avid golfer in those days, and during his time with them (1971 - 1986) was lucky enough to play some the nation's most beautiful courses.In his retirement years, he continued his interest in American history, especially WW II and his love for "old" Hollywood and the movies and memorabilia from the 1930's and 40's.He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Clara Beck. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Sloan, of Midland, and five nieces and nephews. are Robin Bock (husband Dan), Joe Sloan (wife Deborah), Cody Sloan, Kelly Sloan, and Ragan Davis (husband Bryan). Also surviving are friends, Joe Barta and former wife, Jane Murphy. Per his wishes, there will be no formal service and his cremains will be returned by his loved ones to his beloved hometown of Bryson, Texas. |

Obituary: Joan Idelle Roth Beck was born 16, 1934 in Marshall, Texas. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family 9, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Joan grew up in Marshall where her father was a cotton broker. She moved to Dallas where she graduated from Highland Park High School. She attended the University of Texas where she was a member of AEPhi sorority. She graduated from secretarial school and worked as an assistant at Mobil Oil for many years until she started her family. In 1955, she met the love of her life, Dr. Jay Beck to whom she was married these past 60 years. Joan is survived by her husband, Jay; children Michael and Patrice Beck of Dallas, Gary and Susie Beck of Paden, Oklahoma, and Pam and Steven Pluss of Dallas; grandchildren Joel and Miles Beck, Chase and Ashley Leggett, Molly and Henry Pluss; great grandchildren Julian and Benjaymn Leggett; and nephew Lee Roth. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Aaron and Inez Roth, her brother and sister-in-law Alan and Barbie Roth, her nephew Andy Roth and niece Vikki Roth. Joan loved to have fun, travel and entertain. She had many close friends with whom she spent a lifetime making memories as they raised their families and vacationed together. She enjoyed going to the beach, ski trips, and driving her convertible. She spent years volunteering at Greenhill School and served as Parent Association President in 1977. Joan was always dressed fashionably and never left the house without doing hair and make-up first, no matter what was going on each day. She would do anything to help out when asked and would fight ferociously on behalf of her children. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and a true friend. She will be missed by many but most of all her family. A funeral service will be held on , 13 at Sparkman Hillcrest's Northwest Highway Chapel at 2:00 pm followed by a graveside service.
