Obituary: Harriet Irene Bellinger Beaty was born 9, 1929 in Haddam, Kansas. She was the fourth of six children born to Claude and Sylvia Bellinger. The family moved to Missouri in a Model T and she was raised outside of Ava. Always a hard worker Irene, as she preferred to be called, worked so many different jobs that no one really knows what they all were. She worked everything from a milk route, being a bartender, a gas station owner to making uniforms and running an upholstery business with her late husband Vernon. Known for her charismatic personality, she was always quick with a joke or a funny story. Besides the Wheel of Fortune, spending time with family and friends gave her the most joy. She would never say no to a game of Penny Poker or Dominoes. In her quiet time, she enjoyed her word search puzzles and most of all, making quilts and afghans for those she loved. Never one to meet a stranger, Irene always looked for the good in people and went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome in her presence. Throughout her life she faced many hard times but never let it dull her spirit. Anyone who knew her would agree that the party didn’t start until Mudder got there. On 25, 2017, Irene passed quietly in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Sylvia. Siblings John, Wilda, Freddie and Bill. Her beloved husband Vernon Beaty and children Roy “Junior” and Wanda Lou Aid. Grandchildren Tina Krauskopf and Shawn Dean Aid. Her memory will forever live on in the lives of her family: Brother Lonnie and Gail Bellinger; Children Rev. Bobby and Sharol Aid; Rev. David and Julie Aid; Betty Jo and Larry Black; Penny and Choc McLean; Boyd Beaty; Connie Beaty; Barbara Krauskopf; Daughter-in-Law Cyndi Aid; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. |

Obituary: Edward E. Beaty, Jr., SMSgt, retired, MS, BAAS, entered into eternal peace on , May 18, 2005. Mr. Beaty was a devoted husband, father, friend and teacher. He served as Program Director for the Occupational Therapy Program at St. PhilipÂs in San Antonio. He retired from the military service on 1, 1981 as a Senior Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force USAF. He served as an Occupational Therapy Specialist at USAF Regional Hopsital, Carswell AFB, Texas from 1961Â- 1967. He was the NCOIC at USAF Hospital, Tachikawa, Japan from 1967-1970. He was the NCOIC, Occupational Therapy at USAF Reg. Hospital, Eglin AFB, FL, from 1970-1976. He completed his military career at Wilford Hall USAF Medical , Lackland AFB as the NCOIC of the Occupational Therapy Department until his retirement from the Air Force in 1981. While serving in the military he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal both in 1976 and 1981 and the Air Force Commendation Medal in 1980. Although certified as an Occupational Therapist Registered OTR in 1976, Ed challenged and passed the certification examination through the American Occupational Therapy Association er Mobility program based on documented work experience. He is one of less than 100 former Certified Occupational Therapy Assistances to have taken the opportunity to upgrade his professional status in this manner. In 1983 Ed earned his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science in Occupational Education from Southwest Texas State University and in 1986 he earned his Masters of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University. While working on his MasterÂs degree, Ed wrote the document, ÂTexas Licensure: A Guide for OTRs and COTRsÂ, which was published and provided to all OT practitioners in Texas. Ed was honored in 1987 as the OTR of the Year by the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. for service to the association and to the OT profession in Texas. Ed served on TOTA Board of Directors from 1979 to 1984 and was Chair of the Alamo South District of TOTA, 1986-1987. Mr. Beaty was very active in his community. He was a previous member of University United Methodist Church, prior President of Tanglewood Residents Association. He was active with Cellular on Patrol, on the Board of Northwest Neighbors Against Crime. He successfully completed training in Citizen Police Academy with the San Antonio Police Department. He also donated many hours as a reading tutor with Project Learn to Read. Mr. Beaty was preceded in death by his mother, Lorane Belle Tosh Beaty. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Terry Margaret Beaty; daughter, Angela Lynn Beaty White; son, Steven Edward Beaty; grandchildren, Alexa Catherine White and Austen Taylor White; father, Edward Earl Beaty, Sr; and brothers, Lawrence Allen Beaty, Donald Ray Beaty, and David Lee Beaty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Therapy and Research. |

Obituary: Cynthia JoAnn Beaty, age 72, surrounded by her family passed away peacefully on 29, 2014. She was born on 16, 1942 to Marshall Foch and Nellie Lorraine Beaty in Mission, Texas. She graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1960 and later went to Del Mar completing her Associates Degree in Business in 2007. Cynthia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. There were three great loves in her life: her love of Jesus, her love of family, and her love of her church. She enjoyed life and was known for giving thanks to Jesus for all her blessings. Cynthias love for her family was evident with every conversation she held. She wanted to know everything about each family member and she bragged about their accomplishments to anyone who would listen. She looked forward to family reunions and visits from relatives and friends. One of her greatest delights was spending time with her grandchildren playing games, feeding them, watching them play sports and spoiling them whenever possible. She showed her love for her church by arriving before services to pray, by leading prayer groups during the week and by greeting people at the door. Her smile and kind heart made people feel welcome and important. She always had words of encouragement for those who were struggling. All of this grew from her deep love of her Savior Jesus. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Nell Beaty and her sister Janet Beaty. She is survived by her children: Mandy and Johnny West, Marshall Westmoreland, and Clint and Christy Westmoreland; her sister Peggy Clark and husband John; her grandchildren: Ashley and David Ramirez, Brandon West, Deven Westmoreland, Megan West, Landry Westmoreland, Logan Westmoreland and Lanie Westmoreland; her aunt Bo Bennett; her nephew Clifford Beaty; and her cousins: Joey Stelker, Bobby and Sherry Bennett and Sherry and Elton Hudson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on 5, 2014 at Corpus Christi . A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on , 6th at Real Life Church in Flour Bluff. |
