Obituary: James Jim Michael Beamer, 67, of Bryan, passed away at his home on , 29, 2014. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 AM, , 10, 2014 at Memorial Chapel in Station with Larry Johnson, Pastor of the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, Bryan, Texas officiating. Private Interment will take place at a later date. Jim was born 25th, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Dr. Russell James Beamer and Grace M. Guyett Beamer. He moved to Station with his family at the age of 5, and attended A&M Consolidated Schools. He also attended Allen Academy for two years before enrolling at Texas A&M University, receiving his Bachelor of Sociology Degree from Texas A&M in 1969. Jim began his criminal justice career in 1968 as a correctional officer with the Texas Department of Corrections. In 1969, while attending Texas A&M University, Jim joined the Station Police Department, where he held positions of increasing responsibilities. He was hired as a police officer and at the time he left in 1979 he held the dual positions of Captain of Special Services and Supervisor of the Station Municipal Court. In 1979 Jim joined the Brazos criminal justice system, initially as an Adult Probation Officer and later accepted the position of Chief Deputy with the Brazos Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Bobby Yeager. He continued to serve in this role under Sheriff Ronnie Miller from 1985 until 1992. In 1993, Jim joined the Judicial District Community Supervision and Corrections Department for Walker, Grimes, and Madison Counties as an Adult Probation Officer and was stationed in Grimes . In 1993, he was promoted to Supervisor of the Grimes Office. He faithfully served in that capacity until 2002. In 2002, Jim eventually returned to the city where his career path started, accepting the responsibilities as a bailiff for the City of Station Municipal Court. He served this court until his retirement in 2009. Jim's passion was riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. Jim was preceded in death by his father Russell "Rusty" in 1960, and his mother Grace in 2001. He is survived by his former wife Anne Huebner Beamer of Navasota; his sister Nancy Beamer Willerson of Houston; George Huebner III of Station; Meg Huebner Woody and husband Allen of Dallas; Nancy Huebner Brown and husband Rob of Station; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends in law enforcement and in the community. Jakobus was born on , 25, 2000 to Dr. Vinicky Ann Ervin Ph.D. and Mr. Joseph Claude Beamer. Jakobus started his education path at La Petite Academy? in Pre-K, he attended Crestview Elementary School for kindergarten and 1st grade: Coronado Elementary School for 2nd grade and Salinas Elementary School for the 3rd - 5th grade. He then attended Spc. Rafael Hernando III Middle School in El Paso, Texas for the 6th grade, then returns back to San Antonio, Texas and attends Judson Middle School for the 7th grade. He then attended Randolph Middle School for the 8th grade and completed his freshman year at Randolph High School. Jakobus started his football journey at the age of 7 with the Converse Thunderbirds #33 2007; then the Converse Cardinals#80 2008-2010; Spartans #80 and Cavaliers #62 in El Paso, Texas, 2011-2012; Judson Rockets #98 2012; Randolph Middle School Ro Hawks #84 and Randolph High School Ro Hawks #70. Jakobus also played AAU basketball with Xtreme Heat and ran track in which he has received numerous trophies, plaques and medals in all sports. Jakobus had the heart of a lion. Obituary: Ned Lewis Beaman was born on 11, 1927, in Murray, KY, to Lewis Harvey and Lala Ray Beaman, and passed away on 14, 2011, at Spanish Meadows near Katy, TX, just short of his 84th birthday. He lived in Murray, KY until the age of twelve, when he moved with his parents and four siblings to Houston, Texas, where his father had been fortunate to find a job as a mechanic at Lester Goodson Pontiac in the final years of the Great Depression. Ned left high school to serve his country in the U.S. Navy in of 1945. He celebrated the end of World War II while at basic training in San Diego and completed his service on the Pacific island of Guam. Following discharge in of 1946, he returned to Houston, graduating from San Jacinto High School in 1947. attending Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX, he transferred to the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he received a diploma in 1949. Ned returned to Houston to begin a lifelong career in General Aviation. In addition to several pilot ratings, he received both his Airframe and Engine and his Inspection Authorization Certifications from the Civil Aeronautics Administration, predecessor to the current Federal Aviation Administration. His employment in the Houston area included work as mechanic and pilot at Grove Valve Co. at Andrau Airport and Chief Inspector at Houston Beechcraft at Hobby Airport Following several years of self employment as a mechanic and inspector at his own establishment, he retired from Lane Aviation in Rosenberg, Texas in 1993. In 1965, he moved his family with then wife Mildred Baker Beaman to northern Brazoria to set up a homestead and Redwing Aerodrome, later renamed Beaman Airpark, currently shown on FAA charts as the Flyin B (39R). Over 45 years, he watched rice fields become shopping centers and residential subdivisions in the Pearland/Manvel area. His children attended Manvel Elementary and Manvel Junior High, and all graduated from Alvin High School. each retain fond memories of many special teachers and friends from those years. Ned was ordained as a deacon in 1963 at Second Baptist Church of Houston. He raised his children at Almeda Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and worked in boys School classes, and Houstons First Baptist Church, where he was active in the Singles Ministry. His four children have strived to follow the example of Christian service shown to them by parents and grandparents, as each of them are actively serving with their families in their local church, and Pops was able to see the oldest five of his seven grandchildren be baptized after they each accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Although a self avowed monotone, he greatly enjoyed experiencing the various amateur musical performances of his children and grandchildren throughout the years. He is survived by his children; daughter, Amy and husband, Kevin Pence, of Carlsbad, NM, son, James and wife, Martha McKenzie Beaman, of Friendswood, TX, daughter, Brenda and husband, David Parker, of Manvel, TX, son, Barry and wife, Sharon Jones Beaman of Katy, Texas; also sisters, Dixie Beaman Cochran and husband, Jeff, and Joan Beaman Littlefield, brother, Paul Beaman and wife Marilyn, and sister in law Mrs. Ray Beaman. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Katherine Beaman, Cody Beaman, Kyle Beaman, Austin Parker, Travis Beaman, James Parker, and Gary Parker, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ned was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Harvey Beaman and Lala Artimis Ray, and brother, Ray Beaman. A visitation will be held on , 18, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Service will be held on , 19, 2011 beginning at 3 p.m. in the Main Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale with interment to follow in Forest Park Lawndale . Pallbearers will be James Beaman and his son, Kyle, Barry Beaman and son, Cody, and David Parker and son, Austin. Obituary: Martha White Beaman, age 78, our wonderful Mama and Nana, passed away 21, 2015, at her home in Garland, Texas after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born 5, 1937. in Archer City, Texas. Martha was very loved by all her friends and family. She had a sense of humor and wit that was unmatched, and she always put her family first before herself. She was our rock, our confidant, our best friend, and she will be missed terribly.
