Obituary: Rita Ann Baumbach, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Nana, received her heavenly wings on 25, 2015. Rita was born in Waterloo, Iowa on 22, 1930 to Ross Reams and Veronica Emde Reams. Rita was married to Clement Leonard Baumbach for 45 years. Rita spent the majority of her life in the Houston area. She retired from Southwestern Bell in 1983, having worked for them for almost 28 years. Rita and Clem were members of the Order of the Sons of Hermann, Edelweiss No. 4 Lodge. She served in several officer positions with the Sons of Herman. She loved to bowl and she was a World International Bowling Congress State Champion many times. This joy took her to Indianapolis, Salt Lake City, Tucson and Reno, to name just a few. She was a lover of the Astros and had traveled to spring training as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame with Clem. were season ticket holders for many years. She traveled to England, Copenhagen, Sweden and Norway for the 1994 Winter Olympics with her daughter, Diane Reul. She had the pleasure of cruising to Mexico as well as flying to Hawaii. She went to Lake Tahoe and Colorado several times. Rita was a huge Houston Texans fan and was a beloved member of the Lone Spot Tailgaters. She attended games well into her 70s and bought season tickets in the Bull Pen, the area of NRG Stadium where diehard fans stand the whole game. She chose these seats because she thought the rest of the stadium wasn nearly as fun. She loved her travels and spending the hot days of late summer on the Comal River with her family and friends. Rita was independent, continuing to drive to visit her family up until her last day. She attended all of her familys special events, birthdays, games and school competitions. She was ever ready with advice, support and help whenever it was needed. She set the bar high and we all aspire to be like her in her devotion to her loved ones. Rita is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gerald Richard Reams of Burlingame, California; and her husband. She leaves to carry on her legacy her four children: Kathrine Kirby Chandler and husband, John; David Bryon Kirby and wife, Denise; Gary Joseph Baumbach and wife, Sarah; and, Diane Baumbach Reul. In addition to her children, she has 12 grandchildren: John Henry Chandler, Jr.; Christopher Nicholas Kirby and wife, Hanna; Travis Lee Kirby and wife, Amy; Lauren Elizabeth Kirby; Lyndsey Michelle Baumbach Christopher and husband, Michael; Gary Joseph Baumbach, Jr.; Courtney Danielle Baumbach; Taylor Kristina Baumbach; Camron Jacob Baumbach; Rene Marie Reul, Sara Michelle Reul, and Rita Kay Reul. Her legacy will also live on through her five great-grandchildren: Ashley Jean Kirby, Emma Marie Kirby, Kennedy Baily Cauffman Kirby, Elizabeth Ann Kirby and Morgan Elaine Christopher. Obituary: Heaven rejoiced as Janelle Elaine Baumbach, 74, of Victoria, went to be with her Lord and Savior on , 12, 2015 and was reunited with family and friends. Janelle was born 18, 1941 in Granger, TX to the late Arthur Anderson and Alma Schmidt Anderson. While attending Granger High School she met her true love, Stanley. they graduated in May 1959, they married 14, 1959 and moved to Bloomington where they brought up their four children. Janelle was a member of First Baptist Church in Bloomington. She loved her church family, but above all, she loved her Savior. Her wholehearted support of evangelism and mission work was deeply rooted in the Great Commission to share the gospel message of salvation through Christ to the world and make disciples. To that end, she taught Sunbeams, GAs, and School and was honored to use her talents as a choir member and the only regular organist since the church purchased their first organ in the late 1960s. Besides her service to the Lord, Janelle was also the Bloomington 4-H Arts and Crafts project leader for many years. She demonstrated patience and kindness as she taught, sometimes painstakingly, the skills needed to create beautiful craft projects. No doubt she will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her afternoon coffee group whom she loved getting together with and the volunteers at DeTar Hospital where she volunteered for many years working in the gift shop. Janelle is survived by daughters, Deborah Valdez and husband Mikel of Lake Jackson, Geneva Rossignol and husband Terry of Columbus, and Patricia Browning and husband Clint of Hopewell, Virginia; son, David Baumbach and wife Kim of Missouri City; sister, Barbara Petrosky of Georgetown; brother, JT Anderson of West Hollywood, California; and grandchildren, Michelle Valdez, Susan Valdez, Brittany Rossignol English and husband, Keith, Brianna Rossignol, Brandy Rossignol, Logan Browning and wife, Keyshia, Taylor Browning, and Cade Baumbach. Her sister, Dolores Cawthon, her parents, and her husband, Stanley preceded Janelle in death. A memorial service will be held 11 AM on , 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Obituary: William (Bill) Bernard Frederick Baumann of San Antonio, Texas passed away on May 28, 2013, after a valiant six month struggle with brain cancer. He was born to Robert George Baumann, Sr. and Marie Metta Hoffman Baumann in Troy, New York, on 1, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janet Lynn King, and their three children: Rachel King Baumann of Dallas, Texas, John Edward Baumann of Austin, Texas and Sarah Layne Baumann who is attending Rhodes in Memphis, Tennessee. He is also survived by his brother, Robert George Baumann Jr., of North Bend, Oregon and sister, Betty Marie Welch, of Austin, Texas, and by many other relatives and friends, including Juanita Rodriguez who has been with the family for 19 years. Bill grew up in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York, and Houston, Texas, where he graduated from Memorial High School. He graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio and received his law degree from the University of Houston Law in 1977. He practiced law in Amarillo, Texas and served two terms as the Potter Attorney in Amarillo from 1983 to 1988. He was appointed as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division in 1989, where he served for 24 years. He was passionate about his work and was proud to represent the United States. He received many awards as a prosecutor including an award from United States Attorney General Janet Reno in 2000, awards for excellency in trial advocacy from the U.S. Attorneys Office in 2002 and 2005 and for two cases in 2009, and several awards from the FBI for prosecution in multiple cases. Bill achieved his Eagle Scout in 1968 in Houston, Texas, and lived his life according to the Scout Law. Bills father and son also achieved Eagle Scout, as did every man in his wifes family. He served as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Boy Scout Troop 285 at Coker United Methodist Church for many years. Bill was passionate about life, his family, his interests, his community service and his church, First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio, Texas. He performed in multiple community theatre productions, including the San Pedro Playhouse and the Bulverde S.T.A.G.E. Theatre. He loved boating and anything to do with the sea and sailed by catamaran once across the Atlantic Ocean and twice across the Gulf of Mexico. He was a lifelong volunteer, serving quietly in many different organizations including San Antonio Youth Literacy, the SAMM Shelter, Haven for Hope, Habitat for Humanity, Camp Discovery for children with cancer, and numerous others. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, teaching school, serving as a Deacon, participating in mission trips to Haiti, Mexico and New Mexico, tutoring Myanmar refugees and contributing to many other activities. He actively participated in each of his childrens lives - including Scouting with his son John, volunteering with the Churchill High School Band and First Presbyterian Youth Ministry with his daughter Sarah, and being involved in many school, extra-curricular and church activities with his daughter Rachel. He was a tremendous supporter of his wife Jan in her career as an attorney and partner at King & Sommer, LLP. The family had many adventures together, including SCUBA diving trips. He was devoted to health and fitness and never missed a day of work for illness until he was diagnosed with cancer. Bill will be remembered for his enthusiasm, energy, sense of humor, dedication to work and community, and love of his family. He will be greatly missed. Obituary: Robert George Baumann Sr., age 89, passed away on 19, 2005. Bob was born May 18, 1916, in Glendale, New York, to Frederick Robert Baumann and Charlotte Marie Weissenberger Baumann. He grew up in Floral Park, New York, becoming an Eagle Scout in 1929. He graduated from Rennsalear Polytechnic Institute in 1938 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served for 33 months as an artillery officer in the South Pacific during World War II, attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. He married Marie Metta Hoffman Mitzi in 1941 and they shared 63 years together raising a family of three children. are Robert George Baumann, Jr., Betty Marie Baumann Welch and William Bernard Frederick ÂBill Baumann, all of whom survive him and deeply mourn his passing. Marie predeceased him in May 2004. retiring from the Marine Corps as a Lt. Colonel, Bob worked as a management consultant at Cresap McCormick and Padgett in New York City from 1951 until 1964. During those years, the Baumann family enjoyed life in Oyster Bay, New York and Bob spent many happy hours on his beloved boat Sea Mist. In 1964, he moved his family to Houston, Texas in order to join Anderson Clayton as Director of Corporate Planning. He successfully steered the company into new product lines and became an integral part of his adopted city. He retired in 1971 but continued doing consulting work, eventually moving to Elkins Lake near Huntsville, Texas and after some years, moved to Fair Oaks Ranch near Boerne to be closer to his children. Bob was an avid gardener all his life, enjoyed music but was especially interested in other people, to whom he was always willing to give an ear and a helping hand. He was a problem solver by nature and by education and was always available to help his family and friends in any way he could. Bob is survived by his three children: Robert G. Baumann, Jr. of Winchester Bay, Oregon, Betty Marie Baumann Welch and her husband G. Berkshire Welch of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and William B.F. "Bill" Baumann and his wife Janet King Baumann, of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Robert G. Baumann III of Eugene, Oregon; Rachel King Baumann, John Edward Baumann, and Sarah Layne Baumann, all of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Kramer and her husband Ken Kramer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and their children and spouses, Jeff and Cindy Kramer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Jen and Joe Gibson, M.D. of New York, New York. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Regina Hoffman, and niece, Kathy Hoffman, both of San Francisco, California. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
