▰ Fredrick Arden Batts

Died February 15, … More Information
Fredrick Arden Batts, born October 18, 1969 passed from this life on February 15, 2015 in Mansfield, Texas. Fredrick was 45. Tags: #Rangers #Skynyrd #Alex #Frank #Joyce #Gary #Kala #Jack #Micah #Lane #Saint #United #Church #West #Ridge #Arlington #Childrens
Obituary: Fredrick Freddie Arden Batts of Mansfield passed away at the age of 45 from kidney cancer on , 15th, 2015, but his memory lives on in the hearts of the many many people who knew him.
Freddie was foremost a proud father. He was also a devoted friend, a loving son, a big brother, a boyfriend, a comedian, a drummer, a teacher, a talented craftsman, a die-hard Rangers baseball fan, as well as a human spell check. He was generous with his time and understood the power of laughter. As a drummer, laughter for him was the rhythm that brought you through the transitions in life, held you steady during the chorus when other people were singing along with you and was the loudest at lifes crescendo. He lived his life bringing smiles to the faces of all the people he loved. Freddie was a gentle spirit with strong convictions. Family and friends were the most valuable things in his life, and he was an example to us all of kindness and being an authentic friend, one you could always count on.
Freddie was the type of person that brought us all together. His home was always the gathering place for friends, family and neighbors alike. He took the time to know everyone in a personal way and reminded us all the impact of the little things. He took the time to reach out with a note, a comment or a joke meant personally for its recipient. He was sometimes outspoken and a reserved listener when he needed to be. He was a smart ass and a thinker. He didn have patience for deceptive people or cruelty. He couldn be rushed but was a straight to the point kind of guy. He loved being the place where his friends and family would congregate, but he didn like being the center of attention. He always stood up for what was right and never sweated the small stuff.
Freddie lived his life to the fullest, found true love, and left this life on his own terms surrounded by people who loved him in return. The choir of angels has a new drummer who I imagine is trying to work some Skynyrd into their playlist.
Freddie is survived by his son, Alex Batts, his parents, Frank and Joyce Batts, his brother, Gary Batts and sister in law, Kala Batts and nephews, Jack and Micah, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins that were extremely close to his heart.
Visitation for friends and family will be on , 20th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at 1000 Poe Lane Mansfield, TX. A memorial service will be held , 21st, at 2:00 pm at Saint Barnabas United Methodist Church 5011 West Pleasant Ridge Road in Arlington, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Judes Childrens Hospital.
