Obituary: Willis "Dale" Barton peacefully went to be with His Lord Jesus on 29, 2011. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Vista Hospice for their tender care of Dale. He was born in St. Louis, OK on 19, 1940 to Ralph Lee Barton and Bertha May OBryant Barton. moved to Lubbock, TX. in 1944. Dale graduate from Lubbock High school and proudly served three years in the U.S. Army. He returned to Lubbock to start Bartons Pump Service with his father Ralph, where he served Lubbock and the surrounding area until he retired in 2010. He married Linda Jane Selman on 10, 1961. had a daughter Julie Jan Barton whom he loved very much. Dale was a supporter of the community by donating wells and service to the Lubbock Childrens , Roosevelt School and many community churches. He was a member of the Texas ground water association and Panhandle Plains groundwater association. He was a member of Roosevelt Baptist Church and longtime resident of Lake Ransom Canyon. One of his favorite things to do was spending time with his grandson Joshua, teaching him the Pump business. Another was watching Treavor grow into a fine young man and being proud of his scholastic achievements. He is survived by his wife Linda Barton, daughter Julie, two grandsons Joshua Dale Vigil and Treavor Lane Akin, his sister Joy Rojas, sister in law Pat Malloy and several nieces and nephews. He also was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, camping, and boating. He also loved to travel. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and always had a smile and warm handshake. He will be missed by all who knew him until we see him again in glory. Services are entrusted to Resthaven , officiated by Rev. Jack Thompson on 1, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Abbey Chapel. Visitation will be on 31, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm at Resthaven . Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com. |

Obituary: Clive E. Barton passed away peacefully at Lakeway Regional Medical in Austin, TX. on 11, 2014 at 11:38 p.m. surrounded by his loving family. Clive was born on 28, 1937, in Preston, Lancashire, England. His early years consisted of a boarding school education where he studied mathematics and physics. Clive excelled in rugby and made lifelong friends that are close to this day. He graduated from East Lancashire University with a masters degree in Applied Physics and was a member of the Institute of Physics in London, UK. His diverse career in manufacturing included working for companies such as British Cellophane and Hotpoint and upon moving to the USA in 1968 entered into the semiconductor industry with positions at Fairchild and Honeywell. moving to Texas in 1981, Clive built and ran the AMD manufacturing facility in San Antonio. He was the President of Cypress Semiconductor (Texas) in Round Rock, and most recently the VP-Operations for Skyonic in Austin. Clive spent the majority of his career in the semiconductor industry pioneering new technologies, was highly respected by his peers and was well loved in the community. Clive was a compassionate, unselfish man, and always put his family and friends above himself. He will be greatly missed. Clive is survived by Cynthia, his beloved wife of 54 years, and his three children, Christopher (Deb), Catherine (Larry) and Lisa (Wayne), and his 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Erika, Andrew, Ian and Benjamin. The family wishes to thank Lakeway Regional Medical for their excellent medical care but most of all the love and compassion shown to Clive, especially by Dr. R. Van Boven, Dr. P. Polkampally, Dr. R.V. Babu and the nursing staff in the ICU. Clive was given the same loving care for 17 months by Dr. C. Kampe, Dr. R. Tierney and the excellent nurses and staff of Texas Oncology. We can thank you all enough. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Brain and Body Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to health education and research. Donations may be sent to the Foundation at PO BOX- 342466, Austin, TX 78734. Memorial services will be held , 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Lukes on the Lake Episcopal Church, 5600 Ranch Road 620 N, Austin, TX 78732. A reception to follow. |
