Cooter was born Feb. 21, 1936, as a son of the late r Barrett and Laura Gladys Case Barrett. He worked in the forestry industry as a logger and timber buyer. He was a member of Springs of Living Water Church. Survivors: his wife, Jo Beth Barrett of Caledonia; children, Jo Ann Finchum and husband Bryan of Caledonia, Dean Barrett of Nacogdoches, Wayne Barrett of Ft. Worth, r Barrett and wife Jackie of Caledonia, Tammy Owens of Timpson, and Randy Furra of Nacogdoches; brother, R.J. She went home to be with the Lord on 8, 2015 from a long illness. She is survived by loving children, Gail Barrett Roden and Husband Billy, Jacquelyn Barrett Sandoval and Charles Barrett, Grand Children, Kristyn Summerlin and Husband Larry and Robert Neilson and wife Piraon, Great Grand Children, Emma Ruth Summerlin, Allie Neilson and Aarin Neilson, and her sister Katie Lawton. She is preceded in Death by her loving Husband, Herb, and they were married over 60 years. Benjamin Sandoval, her grandson, Sisters, Bobbye Robichaux, Jewel Jones, Jacquelyn Rogers, Brothers George Shaw ,HP Shaw and parents Lola Shaw and Charles Shaw. She was a fun loving and caring person who always preached the Golden Rule. Vam had many friends and will be missed. Everyone loved her very much. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Richardson and was a former member of Wesley and Elmwood Methodist Churches. Obituary: Stephen Humphrey Barrett passed away 29, 2010 in Corpus Christi with his family by his side after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born 21, 1926 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to parents Stephen Meville Barrett and Anna Mae Humphrey Barrett. Stephen was honored to serve his country as a Sergeant in the 274 Infantry Regiment - G, Battalion, during World War II. Upon his return to the states, he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in chemistry and began a career as a chemist at the Suntide Chemical Plant in Corpus Christi. He later taught mathematics for the CCISD until his retirement in 1986. Stephen enjoyed traveling to many domestic and foreign destinations including Alaska, Yosemite, Glacier, the Great Smoky Mountains, and the Rocky Mountains National Parks. Highlights of his foreign travel included Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises, and rail adventures across Europe and Nova Scotia. Politics played an important role in Stephens life. He was instrumental in establishing and enlarging the political base for the Republican Party in Nueces . Stephen enjoyed rock collecting, dabbling in oil painting, gardening, and woodworking. He experienced great pride and pleasure in the treasures he built for his grandchildren including; rocking horses, doll houses, bird houses, puppet theatres, and soap-box derby cars. Stephen is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances Barrett, daughters Kelly Garza and Kim Armstrong, son-in-law Mike Armstrong and grandchildren: Cameron Armstrong, Jillian Armstrong, Stephen Armstrong, Matthew Garza, and Nicole Garza. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at the First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi on , 3. 2010. Obituary: Mrs. Sadie Mae Barrett passed away , 24, 2017, at her residence in Nacogdoches , Texas, at the age of 81 years and 14 days. She was born 10, 1936, in Nacogdoches , Texas, to parents Jessie Thomas Randall and Bessie Arby Berryhill Randall. Mrs. Barrett was a lifelong area. On 2, 1955, she married the love of her life, R.J. Barrett. He preceded her in death on 5, 2013. She started working at McCrorys in her early life. Other jobs included Perry Brothers, DeWitt Hatchery, K-Mart, and Wal*Mart. Sadie loved to collect anything she could find, especially cookie jars! At the time of her passing, her home held between 200-300 cookie jars. Sadie never threw anything away-she even kept the hickory nuts that her grandsons picked up off the kindergarten playground to the candles off their birthday cakes. She loved her flowers and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting, but more than anything she loved Jesus. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. One of her favorite sayings was, I love my Lord. Almost four years ago, R.J. went to be with Jesus. She longed to see him and be with Jesus since that time. She was the greatest Mom, Mamaw, and Great-Grandma on earth. In addition to R.J., she was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include her children, Sherry Faulkner of Nacogdoches, Texas, Kenny Barrett and wife Becky of Melrose, Texas, Glenda Cantu and husband Edward of Lake Nacogdoches, Texas, and Bones Barrett and wife LIz of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister, Betty Herrick of Lufkin, Texas; brothers, Charles Randall and wife Alice Joy of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Thomas Randall and wife Nancy of Martinsville, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. services are set for 10:00 a.m. , 26, 2017, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, located at 4922 FM 2864 in Nacogdoches , Texas, with Bro. Obituary: Robert Wayne Barrett was born in Stafford, Texas on May 28, 1941 to parents Robert Dan Barrett and Fannie Mae (Johnson) Barrett. At the age of 75, he entered into eternal rest on , 2, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Wayne was preceded in death by both parents and son Louis Wayne. He is survived by his wife, Betty Barrett; sons, Robert Wayne Barrett, Jr. and wife Richelle, Randall Louis Barrett and wife Delores; step-son, Tommy Sablatura; grandchildren, Derek and wife Ashley, Seth, Baylie and Lyndsie Barrett, Dominique Crawford, Drake and Catalina Brown, Jonathan and wife Stephanie, Michelle, Amie and Curtis Sablatura; great grandchildren, Eathan and Hannah Sablatura. Wayne Barrett grew up in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Deer Park High School in 1959. In of 1960, he enlisted in the Navy and served as a cook, winning awards and commendations for his culinary skill. In of 1964, he received an honorable discharge, leaving the Navy as an E-4 with a Good Conduct Medal. An instrument tech by trade, Wayne worked in the petrochemical industry in southeast Texas. In 1974, he hired on with Aramco and with his family moved to Saudi Arabia. While living overseas, Wayne was able to travel the world. In the early 80s, Wayne Barrett moved back to the states making Houston, Texas his home. Ever the problem solver, Mr. Barrett excelled in his profession. With the heart of a servant, he lived to serve others and as an accomplished chef, his greatest joy was cooking for his friends and family. Wayne was also a gifted storyteller and loved good conversation. A loving father and dedicated husband, Wayne Barrett loved his family unconditionally. From an early age, Wayne was a spirit-filled follower of Jesus Christ and taught his children to love and serve God. In his later years, Wayne, a 33 year resident of Spring Branch, devoted his time to loving his wife and serving his friends and family. His passing has left a hole that cannot be filled. Bob was born Nov. 15, 1931, in Fort Worth and was a longtime resident of North Richland Hills. He married Janice Barrett on Aug. 28, 1954; together they raised five children, had 10 grandchildren, and enjoyed their superior great-grandchildren.
