Obituary: William Lee Baker, 69, of Princeton, TX passed away on 7, 2017. He was born on 27, 1947 in Bryan, Ohio to Leonard E. (Pete) and Mary A. (Kreischer) Baker. Bill graduated from Bossier City High School in Louisiana; Bachelor Degree from Bowling Green University, MBA Golden State University. Bill was a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1975; he was awarded the Junior Officer of the Year. His occupation was Sales, Sales Manager and Trainer. He is survived by his wife, Sue Baker; two sons, Chris Baker of Austin, TX and Greg Baker of Columbus, OH; one sister, Cheryle Baker of Montpelier, OH; and aunts, Denny Utley and Jewel Utley both of Montpelier, OH; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jennifer Meier, step-daughter, Tom Meier, son-in-law and Jason Meier, grandson of Little Elm, TX. Bill was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Princeton, TX. He was the Leader of the Greeters Ministry, member of the Long Range Planning Committee and Safety Committee. His civic activities include membership of the Economic Development Corporation, Princeton, TX and Princeton Mayor’s Advisory Committee. Bill liked spending time with family and friends, classic cars, auctions and travel. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed coaching people. A Memorial Service will be heldat 2:00 pm, 18that Faith Baptist Church,1306 N. 6th Street, Princeton, TX 75407. Obituary: William (Bill) E. Baker, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family 11, 2016. Born in Pineville, Louisiana to Marjorie (Pickett) and Roy Baker, Bill was most proud of his unique birthday 1-2-34. Bill was an honor graduate of SLI ('56), now known as University of Louisiana Lafayette, with a B.S. in M.E. Bill attended graduate classes at the University of Pittsburgh and Texas A&M. Bill's experience while he taught at SLI gave him the computer knowledge that opened opportunities in Texas where he helped design solid rocket fuel. Bill is well known for his contribution to the construction of the Sears Tower, the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline, and the Pennzoil Building in Houston. Before retiring, he was recognized for his contributions to Ansys. Bill's community benefited from his coaching of youth baseball because of his devotion to children. He will be remembered for his love of gardening, especially his tomatoes and oranges. Bill' s greatest passion was his grandchildren, and he never missed a family event to show his pride in their accomplishments. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 and a half years, Pat; his sons, William E. Baker, Jr. (Patty), Robert F. Baker (Trish); and Michael W. Baker (Anna); and a large, loving family including 9 grandchildren (Jennifer, Clint, Leeah, Kyle, Matt, Rachel, Cassidy, Cameron, & Morgan), and 10 great-grandchildren; and brother Roy Baker. Obituary: William Middleton Baker passed from this earth on 1, 2011 at his home in Richardson, Texas. He was a member of the Arapaho United Methodist Church in Richardson since 1975, and an active participant in the annual Parking Lot and Harvest Sale, the Pumpkin Patch, and any other capacity he was asked to serve. Raised in his grandfathers home in Tinkle Bottom, Emhouse, Texas, and attended school in Emhouse. Baker served as a US Marine from 1942 to 1946. In 1946 he returned to Emhouse and found work in Corsicana at the Navarro Hotel, J.M. Dyer Co., Sherwin Williams, the State National Bank, and finally in 1948, was employed as an accountant with Texas Power & Light Co., in Corsicana, Killeen, Waco, Commerce, Richardson and Garland, Texas and retired on 1, 1985. Baker spent his retirement years woodworking and researching the Hopkins-Gill family genealogy. Born 30, 1922 in Emhouse, TX., and is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Baker, mother Hattie Lou Ella Hopkins Baker, father John Alfred Baker, sisters Bertha Barlow, Bessie Fulton, Lula Mae Smith, Anna Pearl Brown, brothers S.A. Baker, Joe Baker, Thurman Baker, son-in-law Jerry Baldree. He is survived by his brother Jerry Baker of Irving, sister-in-law Mrs. R.T. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 22 years. He was a lifetime member Pioneers Club, Master Mason for 57 years, and a member of Masonic Lodge #595, Mount Hiram, Copperas Cove, TX #1442 Old River Lodge. He was Baptist and an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his father, George Monroe Baker; mother, Amanda Kidd Baker; sisters, Mary Taylor, Wanda Alexander, and Faunda Nelson; brothers, James Elwood Baker, and Eldon (Son) Baker. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Baker; children, Ken Baker and wife Lisa, Judy Montemagno and husband Allen, Glenn Baker, Donna Hartsell and husband Jay, Kelly Goff and husband David, and Jamie Reeves and husband Britain; brother-in-law, Jerry Traylor and wife Gwen; sisters-in-law, Audrey Hoover and husband Ron, and Francis Baker; 18 grandkids; 16 great-grandkids; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Obituary: Wilda Wilson Widdie Baker was born in Eunice, Louisiana on , 4, 1932 to Norborne Wilson and Wilda (Roberts) Wilson. She went home to the Lord early morning, 6, 2016, of natural causes in Houston, Texas. She was 83. Widdie met and married her loving husband of 61 years, Laurence Baker, at a singles school class held at Bossier City Methodist Church. Widdie's career spanned a lifetime from the oil patch to 14 years with M.D. Anderson Cancer before she retired. Widdie was a devout Christian at Westminster United Methodist Church in Houston. Her love of church and family were the cornerstones of her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Widdie is survived by her sister, Norma Rodgers; her devoted husband, Laurence "Larry" Baker; and her loving children, Jon Baker, Wilda Marguerite Smith, Patricia Baker and Laura Ermis; her four grandsons, Christopher, Thomas, Jacob, Michael and her great granddaughter, Elliot. She also will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Family and friends gathered to share memories during a visitation at 9:00 am on , 12, 2016 in the chapel of Waltrip Directors, 1415 Campbell in Houston, where a service celebrating this wonderful womans life began at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend C.J. Taylor officiating. Immediately following the service all were invited for fellowship and remembrances in the Waltrip Reception Room.
