Obituary: A family graveside service for Virginia Bebe Levi Baker, 85, of Killeen, will be held , 21, at 10 a.m. with her nephew, Les Baker, officiating. Mrs. Baker died , 17, 2017. She was born in Edgewood, Maryland on 27, 1931 to Irvine W. Levi and Virginia Ginney Levi. Being from a military family, Mrs. Baker moved several times while in school, but graduated from Killeen High School while her father was stationed at Fort Hood. Her parents retired and remained in Killeen. Mrs. Baker was a bookkeeper for Lott & Vernon for several years before staying home to raise her children. her children were in school, she returned to the workforce to become the Courtroom Clerk for the Federal Magistrate at Fort Hood. retirement, she enjoyed her work as a volunteer at Metroplex Hospital. Her husband, Elijah Baker; her parents, Irvine and Ginney Levi; her sister, Joan Levi Carpenter; and her brother, Bill Levi, preceded Mrs. Baker in death. She is survived by her children, Barbara Adams and her husband, Gordon G. Adams; Elijah Baker and his wife, DAnn; and Susan Honning, and by her three grandchildren, Michael Adams; Jonathan JT Honning and his wife, Christina; and Lana Honning, and her brother, Tom Levi, and his wife, Janice. Obituary: Neal Baker, 77, of Cunningham, passed away , Jan. 23, 2016, at UT Southwestern Zale Lipshy Medical . Bright-Holland has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. , Jan. 26th, at Cunningham Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Tatum officiating and Ronnie Baker serving as eulogist. Burial will follow in Restland at Cunningham. A formal visitation is not scheduled. Mr. Baker, the son of Otto & Hattie Parks Baker, was born 5, 1938, in Cunningham. He graduated from Cunningham High School and began working at Texas Bitulithic Construction where he spent seventeen years. He then began his career with Texas Instruments in Dallas which spanned twenty-one years before his retirement. Upon retirement he and his wife, Ann, made their permanent home in Cunningham. Neal was a faithful member of Cunningham Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Davis Baker and Hugh Baker and one sister, Margie Byers & her husband Ray. Survivors include his wife, Ann Boyd Baker, whom he married on Aug. 3, 1963, building fifty-two years of family and memories, one daughter, Stephanie Clark of Mesquite, one son, Jason Baker & wife Toni of Cunningham, grandchildren, Landry Packard & fiancé Leslie Smith of Community, Brittney Baker of Cunningham and Jaci Baker of Cunningham, two brothers, Charles Baker & wife Jenita of Cunningham and Ronnie Baker & wife Linda of Paris, three sisters, Bea Boutwell & husband Buster of Paris, his twin sister, Nell Peel & husband Wayne of Paris and Donnie Lewis & husband Charley of Bogata, two sisters-in-law, Dean Baker Ogden of Longview and Roselain Baker of Biloxi, MS along with numerous nieces & nephews and a plethora of friends. Violet was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Milbank, S.D., the daughter of John Peter Knute Lundeen and Anne Matilda Swanson (Swensdaughter) Lundeen. A strong and adventurous woman, Violet worked as an air traffic control radio operator in Atlanta, Ga., during World War II and attended Georgia State University. In 1947 she moved back to Milbank, S.D., and married her high school sweetheart, Virgil Baker. Together they had six children and enjoyed 66 blessed years of marriage. While she worked in retail and banking, Violet was first and foremost a warm and wonderful mother. She loved caring for her family, sharing her creative, artistic spirit and love of flowers abundantly. retirement, she and Virgil enjoyed fishing and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., sharing their love with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A woman of great faith, Violet and her family were members of Peace Lutheran Church for over 47 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers; two sisters; and infant daughter, Deborah Lee. While a student there, she received various scholastic awards and was an honor student. Victoria was involved in many civic, charitable and political organizations. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Dallas and participated in many church activities throughout the years. Victoria was caring, creative, competitive and compassionate. She touched many lives, particularly those of children and the elderly, serving as a Big Sister for many years for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dallas. Victoria was passionate about the Lord and trusted in Him. She was also very patriotic and loved to proudly fly the American flag. A funeral mass is scheduled for , 5, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the chapel at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, TX with a lunch reception to follow in the San Damiano Room. Moving to Lubbock at age 17, she attended Draughons Business . graduation she was offered a job with Baker Printing by a young entrepreneur, Lennis Baker. were married in 1940 and created a partnership lasting 60 years until his death in 2000. Mrs. Baker was active both in the business and civic community. She was a member of the Lubbock Womens Club, LCU Associates, Clement Sorosis Study Club, Horizon Study Club and the Junior League of Lubbock. The Lennis and Verdie Baker Conference at Lubbock Christian University honors their service to the university. She was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ for more than 70 years. Survivors include three daughters: Carol Adams and husband, Cramer, Beverly Crossnoe and husband, Marvin, and Janet Durham and husband, James. Her sister, Vasti Pipkin, sister-in- law, Doris Warren, and brother, Bill Warren, also survive. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Chetlen Crossnoe, Reagan Crossnoe, Michelle Keyser, Julie Eady, Lori Ticknor, Dallas Durham and Grant Durham. Her great-grandchildren include Autumn, Rachel, Cole, Conner and Rebecca Crossnoe, Shannon and Katherine Keyser, Brennan, Ryan and Landry Eady, and Grant and Garrett Ticknor. The family wishes to thank Raider Ranch and their caring staff as well as wonderful private caregivers.
