She was employed by Lewisville ISD as a Cafeteria Worker for 12 years. Margie was a member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville. She enjoyed Gardening and Family. Obituary: Graveside services for M. B. Baker, 77, of Hudson, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 30, 2015 in the Freeman with Rev. Don Hopson and Deacon Jim Allison officiating. Mr. Baker was born 24, 1937 in Gary, TX and passed away 26, 2015 in Lufkin. He was the son of the late Ida M. (Duke) and William Henry Baker. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a truck driver for the logging industry. Mr. Baker was a council member for the community of Hudson for four years prior to serving as the mayor of Hudson for six years. He served with the United States Navy and was aboard the USS Kermit Roosevelt. Survivors include daughters, Angel Baker and Peggy Baker; sons and daughters-in-law, Manuel Bruce Baker, Jr., Jerry Baker and Valerie, all of Lufkin, and Harold Baker and Donna of Ratcliff; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Fredregill Baker; daughter, Loretta McGuire; and sisters, Mertie Lois Hooper and Wanda Christine Baker. Pallbearers are Dwayne Fredregill, Bryan Fredregill, Justin Dellis, Jesus Alanis, Joey Davis, and Caleb Rader. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Baker and Bridgette Rice. The family will receive friends from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Oakley-Metcalf . Services have been placed in the care of Oakley-Metcalf . |
