Obituary: Sam E Butcher, 46, lost his battle with cancer on 1, 2015. He was an inspiration to everyone with his never give up attitude. He spent 27 years doing what he loved: working on cars. In the last 3 years, he found his home at Davids Commercial Tire. Sam is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lane; mamaw, Elizabeth Smith; papaw, Willard Lynch; and great-grandmother, Cynthia Humphries. He is survived by wife of 26 years, Edith Butcher; children, Amanda and Cory Butcher; father, Harry Lane; brothers, Jesse Butcher; Greg Butcher and wife Barbara; and Justin Lane and wife Tiffany; many aunts and uncles, several brother- and sister-in-laws; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to many close family friends and his co-workers from Davids and Firestone. Obituary: Butcher, Richard Allen age 68 of Powell, passed away , 10, 2013. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army and retired from McGhee Tyson Airport. Richard was an avid fishermen and hunter. Preceded in death by his parents Roy and Anna Butcher, sisters Debbie Easterday and Georgia Schofner. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Margaret Butcher, sons and daughters-in-law Chance and Lisa Marie Butcher and Richard McFall and Midge Grima, grandchildren Brittany Trent and husband Darin, C.J. and Hunter Butcher and Cameron McFall, great grandchildren Cassie and Kyleigh Trent, brother Billy Butcher, special friends Gina and Gary Smithers, Harold and Coleen Smith and Todd Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family. The family request that no flowers be sent for the service, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lung Cancer Association. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel with a Service to follow at 8pm with Rev. Dean Braden officiating. Obituary: Margaret Jane Butcher, our precious "Nana" went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2017. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by all her loved ones. She was an active member of West Side Baptist Church and a retired Respiratory Therapist. She gave her whole life in helping others and her legacy will be remembered by her strength in any situation, love for other people, and faith in Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Bessie and Richard McNabb, husband Richard A. Butcher, and sister Betty Jo. Survived by sons, Chance and Richie; daughter, Gina and her daughter Mallory; sister, Patsy; brother, Kenneth and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Cameron, Brittany, CJ and Hunter; great grandchildren, Cassidy and Kyleigh. Special friends Kay, Peggy, Lib and DeDe along with so many loved extended family. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm at Berry Lynnhurst , 2300 Adair Drive, with the funeral service to follow. Rev. Josh Green will officiate. Entombment at 1pm at Lynnhurst .
