Obituary: Broyles, Laura Margaret Marge, age 91, of South Knoxville, peacefully left this earth and entered her eternal home on , 2, 2010. She is now reunited with her parents, Bart and Ida Greenlee; sister, Mary Weems; brother, John Greenlee; daughter, Mary Ann Mitchell and her loving husband, Charles Broyles. Born 24, 1919, Marge was raised in Greenville, Tennessee and moved to South Knoxville with her husband when Charles began his career at Bell South. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Marge is survived by grandchildren, Laura Mitchell, Brad Mitchell and wife, Betsy, Jonathan, Ruth Ann, Caleb and Samuel Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Jonah and Isaiah Mitchell; son-in-law, Lynn Mitchell; niece, Margie Ripley and nephew, Mike Weems. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 PM on , 8, 2010 in the chapel of Berry with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:30 PM, Dr. Deron Cobb and Jonathan Mitchell officiating. Obituary: Kay Edward Broyles, Sr. of Greeneville, TN died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on , 29, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Charlotte; 6 children: Eddie, Randy, Timothy, Anthony, Matthew, Tabatha and her husband Mark Hill; along with 7 grandchildren: Jill Holt, Heather Lowe and her husband Ben, Josh Broyles and his wife Amber, Maygon Laws and her husband Levi, Matthew Hill, Charles Hill, and Madeline Hill; 7 great-grandchildren: Haley Holt, Holdan Holt, Robert Spencer, Brooke Broyles, Eli Broyles, Waylon Lowe and Laws; his brother Bill Eugene Broyles and his wife Dorothy; sister-in-law Lucille Wills, brother-in-law Tim Renner, and his extended family of Cedar Creek Church of God. He is preceded in death by his parents, George William and Minnie Olive and his sister Dorothy. Kay was born in Greeneville on Aug. 18, 1932. He began his career at Magnavox in 1950, and then was drafted into the US Army where he was stationed in Alaska and Georgia and returned to work at Magnavox where he worked for 47 years. He was also an active member of Cedar Creek Church of God and especially loved teaching the Sunshine Class, which he did for over 20 years. The family will be receiving friends on , May 1st from 5:00-8:00pm at Kiser-Rose Hill . The funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on , May 2nd at 10:00 am with Rev. Darrell Sovine and Rev. Andy Christiansen officiating. He will then be laid to rest at GreenLawn Memory Gardens. Pall Bearers will be Josh Broyles, Ben Lowe, Donnie Crum, Ken Brewer, Ben Wills, and Mark Hill. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Cedar Creek Church of God Sunshine Class. |

Obituary: Franklin D. Broyles, 77, of Wellington Place, Serral Drive, Greeneville, died at Takoma Regional Hospital. He was a retired Magnavox employee. Mr. Broyles was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Myrna and Doug Monroe of Gate City, Virginia, and Naomi and Lynn Wilhoit and Floella Phillips, all of Chuckey; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Fred Broyles Jr. and Cleo of Greeneville, and Hugh Broyles and Barbara of Chuckey; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Fred Broyles and Vanna Richardson Broyles and was preceded in death by a sister, Earnestine Shaw, and a brother, Calvin Broyles. The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. preceding the funeral service in the chapel at 8 p.m. The Rev. Sam Puckett, the Rev Lester Morelock and Shane Jones will officiate. Interment will be at 11 a.m. at Graceland Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Jones, Tony Ottinger, Roger Krase, Earland Odell, Ravin Gentry and Eric Keasling. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Self, Dr. Michael Odell, Dr. Richard Aasheim, Sonny Cutshaw, the nurses and staff of Signature CARE, and the nurses and staff of Takoma Regional Hospital. |
