Obituary: William Clark Dub Barnes, Sr., 87, retired owner and operator of Barnes Carpet Service for over thirty years and resident of Pickens Lane, died , 8, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical . services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols with his grandson Rev. Andy Hargrove officiating. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. EST at West Hill in Trion, Georgia. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols. The family suggests memorials to Habitat for Humanity, 511 West Meade Blvd Franklin, TN 37064. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born 11, 1929, in Trion, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Frank Barnes and Madeline Ruby Henderson Barnes. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed quail hunting, raising bird dogs, growing vegetables, boating, and fishing. Survivors include his children, Frankie (Sam) Noles of Ringgold, Georgia; Johnnie (Art) Hargrove of Huntsville, Alabama; William Clark Billy (Matilda) Barnes, Jr. of Memphis; Reneé (Bryan) Haynes and Belinda Beard, both of Columbia; grandchildren, Ashley Noles, Rev. Andy (Christine) Hargrove, Sarah (Courtney) Mitchell, Elizabeth (Chris) Miller, Brandy Barnes, Peyton Barnes, Addison Barnes, William Donald Buddy Haynes, Matthew Beard; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Julius Sonny Suits; and siblings, Haynie Lou Starkey, Bill Barnes, Joyce Price, and Joan Crowe. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Sharon Boswell Swindle, Brian Swindle, Carrie with of Middle Tennessee, Kathys Family Restaurant, staff of Maury Regional Medical , Hospice Compassus, and neighbors on Pickens Lane. |

William leaves behind his sisters Alice Barnes of Memphis, TN and Cathleen Barnes Johnston, his bother in law, Ken Johnston of Gainesville, GA., his brother David B. Barnes of Martin, TN, his nieces Karina Barnes and Isis Overton of Martin, TN, his nephew Anwar Overton of Martin, TN and his maternal grandmother Vivienne Dorris of Southaven, MS. Will attended Fayette Ware High School in Somerville, TN and he graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2010. Will had a wonderful smile a contagious laugh and a wicked sense of humor. He made the best chocolate peanut butter cookies ever. He loved football and hockey. His favorite teams were the Tennessee Volunteers, The Tennessee Titans and the Nashville Predators. He will be missed every minute of every day. Obituary: Mr. Terry L. Barnes age 70, of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully , May 17, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Barnes was born in Nashville, TN, on May 23, 1944, the son of the late Annie Irene Hutton Barnes and C.E. Barnes. He loved playing golf, hunting, fishing, and doing woodcrafts. Mr. Barnes was a deacon at Alta Loma Baptist Church and Green Hill Baptist Church and went to several mission trips with the church’s youth. He retired from DuPont Plant after thirty-five years of service. Survivors include his wife, Pam Collett Barnes; children and their spouses, Sherry Barnes Unland, Mike and Michelle Barnes, and Holly Barnes Hula and James Hula; and grandchildren, Nikki and Drew Cochrane, David Unland, Hannah Barnes, Victoria Hula, and Christina Hula. A Celebration of Life will be held , May 20, 2015, at ten o’clock in the morning, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Michael Barnes and Brother Richard Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening, Woodlawn Roesch-Patton- .
