Obituary: Norma P. Bankston, 94, of Collierville, died 1, 2011, in Florence, AL after a long term illness. She was a long time Collierville resident. Mrs. Bankston was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Bankston; her daughter, Norma J. Henson; and her grandson, Paul Bennett. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Bennett and husband Haskell of Como, MS and Sally McCandless of Collierville, TN; her son, Butch Henson and wife Marilyn of Killen, AL; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Obituary: James Terry Bankston, 63, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away , 5, 2017. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was the former owner and operator of Tennessee Valley Heat & Air. He was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR and football. He was the preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Pauline Bankston and twin infant sons, John and Jim Bankston. Survivors include two step-daughters, Hillary and Danielle; sister, Alma Jean Robertson and his brother, William Bill Bankston; several nieces and nephews. services will be held at 11 a.m. in the East Chapel with the Rev. Bill Mason Officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens East. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga , Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road. |
