Obituary: Thomas Leigh Barr, 66, of Clearfield, passed away , 8, 2015 at his home. Mr. Barr was born 3, 1948 at Clearfield, the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Bradford) Barr Bloom. He was a graduate of Curwensville High School. Mr. Barr was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. He was employed by Beard Oil Co. for 25 years and was the owner of Barrs Heating since 1994. Mr. Barr was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sonya (McCall) Barr whom he married 8, 1969 at Grampian, a son, Brian Barr and his wife Alise, three grandchildren; Nathan, Nolan and Renee, two brothers; William and his wife Mae and Jon and his wife Sue all of Clearfield and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara Barr and his step-father, Frank R. Bloom. Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on , 12, 2015 at the Bennett and Houser Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Rick Butler officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill , Curwensville. Friends will be received at the funeral home on from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of services. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, P.O.
