Obituary: Donald was born in Lewiston, Maine on 7th, 1959 to Joline and Roger Bard. He was raised in Connecticut with his three brothers and one sister. At a young age Donald loved to play baseball, football and spend time with his family. He was a very hard worker and always wanted to provide for those he loved. graduating high school, Donald joined the Navy where he served his country for six years. During that time, Donald lost his father who was just thirty-nine years old. In 1980 fate took him to Inge, who became his wife and soul mate. were married on 27th, 1982. Donald and Inge had two children who they devoted their lives to, Margarete and Donald Jr. He adored Margarete who was and always will be his little girl. He loved spending time with his son Donald Jr., teaching him how to play sports and how to be a man. He also loved his daughter-in-law Michelle like one of his own. Donald had a passion for baseball, and has been a Red Sox fan his entire life. He took pride in his work as an electrical technician at Microchip. Donald and Inge loved traveling to watch baseball games, going to the beach and being with family and friends. Donalds life tragically ended on May 14th, 2013. He was taken from those who love him to be with his father in Heaven. He was the kindest and most caring individual anyone could ever have the pleasure to know. Donald is survived by his wife, Inge Bard of thirty-one years; Son, Donald Jr and his wife Michelle Bard; Daughter, Margarete Bard; Mother, Joline Mongeau; Brothers, Roger, Paul and Michael Bard; Sister, Debbie Martin; grandchildren Brayden and Haley and several nieces and nephews. He will never be forgotten. We love you so much and will miss you dearly. |
