Obituary: Dr. Brian Gerrard Busby, 58, was born 10, 1958, in Perry, OK, to parents William Wakefield, Jr., and Mamie Helen Busby. He passed away at his home in Edmond, 7, 2016. Brian grew up in Perry and was a state champion wrestler for Perry High School. He also wrestled for two years while working on his undergrad at the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. completing dental school at OU, he joined his fathers dental practice in Perry. Brian later expanded their practice, adding a location in Pauls Valley. Brian was a mason, a member of the Elks Lodge in Perry, a board member of the First Bank and Trust of Perry, and an avid fan of OU sports. He also enjoyed fishing and golf. Brian was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William W. Busby, III. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Diane; sons, Brian Gunter Busby and Graham Alec Busby; brother, Baron Busby; sister, Brooks Wilkinson & husband Gregg; nephew, Scott Wilkinson; niece, Brecka Busby; and many other family members, coworkers, and friends. A wake service will be 5pm, , at Baggerley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, , at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond with interment to follow at 3pm at Grace Hill in Perry. Obituary: Billy Joe Busby, known to friends and family as Bill passed from this life on , 31, 2015, after a brief illness. Bill was born 13, 1928 near Cyril, Oklahoma to William Henry and Mary (Battenfield) Busby. He attended schools in Cyril and Cement and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1945. graduation he entered the U. S. Army and served as Battalion Radioman and Messenger with the 91st Chemical Mortar Battalion. an honorable discharge Bill returned to Oklahoma University to study Engineering under the auspices of the G.I. Bill. He worked summers in the oilfields in Texas and started permanent status in 1950 with Magnolia Petroleum Co., later called Mobil Oil, in Snyder, Texas. During his 36+ years of service, he filled assignments in the Engineering and Producing Departments in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Wyoming and retired as Senior Production Supervisor in 1987 in Ardmore, OK. In 1990 he and his wife , moved to Edmond to be nearer medical facilities and family members. Bill married Porter of Chickasha, OK in 1955. would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in of this year. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Eugene and Earl Busby, and their spouses; Nettie, Dorothy, Doris and Evelyn; sisters Eunice Boester and husband Herb and Betty Fulton. Bill is survived by his wife ; son Joel Porter Busby and wife Sheila of The Woodlands, Texas; grandsons Ross of Coppell, TX, Conall Busby and wife Sarah; great-grandchildren Clark, Gannon and Mary Grace Busby all of Coppell, TX. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Ellen Wood of OKC; brothers–in-law Bob Fulton and Tom Wood of OKC; two sisters-in-law, Dr. Jeane Hester of Houston and Joan Porter Pope (Charles) of Austin and their families. His grandsons and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews living in Texas, California, Colorado, and Oklahoma. He received very special care and love from his niece Judy Fulton Ingalsbe and her daughters Brittany Albertson, Kristen Dennis and Sierra Albertson for the past 25 years. The family wishes to thank Elinor McLennon and Chad Mason for rendering CPR until the EMSA team arrived to render their service, the Heart Hospital North doctors and staff, Epworth Skilled Unit, Mercy Hospital doctors and staff, The Springs staff at Fountains of Canterbury, Crossroads Hospice and Mila Carrillo for their professional and loving care of Bill during these past traumatic days. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial Services will be 1:00 pm, , 11, 2015 at St. Marys Episcopal Church, 325 N. 1st Street Edmond, OK.
