Obituary: Tahlequah, OK- services for Stan Watie Bearpaw will be held on , 4th, 2014 at 11:00 am at Reed Culver Chapel with Reverend Jesse Deere. Visitation will be held on , 3rd, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Reed Culver . Burial will take place at Echota near Stilwell, OK. Stan Watie Bearpaw, or Booger o his many friends, was born on 13th, 1958, in California the son of Thomas and Josephine Bearpaw. completing high school in the San Francisco area, Stan attended Carpentry Trade School, and he worked as a carpenter and a tradesman, as well as a laborer at Tysons in Stilwell. He married Vanessa Mankiller and they raised four children, Abraham, Daniel, Rachel, and Sarah. When he wasn working he really like to spend time on his bike, rolling down the endless miles of highway. He attended every Biker Rally he was close to. He really enjoyed fishing with his family and friends, and was quiet by nature, but had a devilishly good sense of humor. He was kind hearted and would help anyone that he came across that needed it. His health began to fail him and on 29th, 2014, he crossed the great divide to his heavenly home with family by his side. He was 56 years old. Stan was preceded in death by both parents, Thomas & Josephine Bearpaw, the mother of his children, Vanessa Mankiller in 2012; one brother, Jonathan Bearpaw; two sisters, Rose-Ann Bearpaw and Jennie Mae Acorn and three nieces, Deborah Lou Acorn, Gloria Acorn and Bernice Acorn. Those left to cherish his memory include four adored children, Abraham Bearpaw and wife Tianna of Indio, CA, Daniel Bearpaw and fiancee Jimmi of Rocky mountain, OK, Rachel Bearpaw and companion Faron Pritchett of Tahlequah, OK, and Sarah Bearpaw and companion Chad Hayes of the Rocky Mountain Community along with one special son that came into his life, Roland Bearpaw of Ohio. He leaves four brothers, Jimmy Daugherty of Lakeland, FL, George Watie Bud Bearpaw and wife Marlene of Springfield, VA, Stanley Bearpaw of Skullcreek, WY and Thomas Bearpaw and wife Ada of Stilwell, OK; four sisters, Betty Whitetree and Chester of Wyoming, Sallie Ann Arnel and husband Howard of Riverton, WY, Mary Ann Walsh and husband Jerry of Welling, OK and Loretta Rae McNal (Acorn) of Parkhill, OK. His legacy lives on in his seventeen grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. |
