Obituary: Hickory-Jack Wayne Buckner, 74, passed away suddenly on May 1, 2015. Jack was born 4, 1941 in Catawba Co. to the late Horace Buckner and Virginia C. Buckner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son Ricky Buckner and a brother Glenn Daniel Buckner. He has worked at Hickory Manufacturing in the finishing room, and attended Providence Baptist Church. Surviving are his brothers Charles R. Buckner of Vale, William Buck Buckner of Lenoir, Gary Lee Buckner of Connelly Springs, Billy Dean Buckner of Vale, sisters Judy Eldridge of Winston-Salem, Sue Hicks of Winterhaven, FL, a son Jimmy Buckner, a daughter Cathy Buckner Alexender and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends May 6, 2015 from 12:45 PM until 1:45pm PM at Hickory . The funeral service will be May 6, 2015 at 2 PM at Hickory Chapel with Rev. Ernest Richards officiating. The graveside service will follow at Fairview .Condolences may be made online at www.hickoryfh.com under the direction of Hickory , Hickory, North Carolina. |
