Obituary: Cramerton - Lottie May Boge, 86, of Cramer Mountain Road passed away 4, 2013 at Carillon Assisted Living. A native of Broome , New York, she was the daughter of the late William Richard and Jennie Till Peirpont. Lottie was a retired nurse and was very proud of all of her childrens accomplishments. She is survived by her children, James Hill and wife Sandy, William Hill and wife Vera, Merlin Perkins and husband Tom, Marcia Crothers and husband Charlie, Linda Pennington, Jennie Dellinger and husband Claude Franklin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 pm at the home of Frank and Jennie Dellinger, 3655 Gaston Day School Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056. The family would like to thank the staff of Carillon Assisted Living in Cramerton for their excellent care. Obituary: Leonard Dale Bogaty Leonard Buzz Bogaty, age 76 of Greensboro passed away , 22, 2010. His family was at his side. Buzz was born in Pittsburgh, PA on 16, 1934, the son of Vincent and Elsie (Pioli) Bogaty. In 1955, Buzz joined the US Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Hood, Texas. It was there that he met his future wife, Joanne Froise. He graduated from Penn State in 1958 and later married Joanne on 7, 1959. celebrated 51 years of marriage this past . Buzz became a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 1963 and had a distinguished 24 year career. Initially, he served in Little Rock, AK for 3 years and then was transferred to Greensboro for his remaining 21 years. retiring from the FBI in 1987, he enjoyed a second career as an investigator for the NC State Bar Association. Mr. Bogaty enjoyed playing, coaching and managing baseball and softball. He was the long time manager of the Northside Barbershop team. He also enjoyed watching sports and had close ties to the Greensboro Generals Hockey team. In the 1990s, Buzz and Joanne enjoyed traveling the east coast with their show dogs. He was a member of the National Society of Special Agents of the FBI and a member of the Greensboro Resident Agency of the Charlotte Division of the FBI. He treasured his family and will always be remembered as a loyal family man who portrayed humility, wisdom, encouragement and resolve. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in various activities every chance he had. Buzz is survived by his wife Joanne and two daughters; Caroline (Ken) Anderson of Greensboro, and Barbara (Jeff) Hawkins of Huntsville, Alabama. In addition, he is survived by 5 grandchildren; Katharine, David and Rachel Anderson; Hannah and Jack Hawkins; a brother Dr. Gene (Carol) Bogaty of Vancouver, Washington and brother-in-law, Ken Froise of Tampa, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held , 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens. The family will greet guests at the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI (3717 Fettler Park Drive, Dumfries, VA 22025) or Westover Church Missions Fund (505 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC, 27410). |
