Obituary: Nicholas Russell Bobbie 5/13/1988-7/9/2017 Joy came to Ron and JoAnn Bobbie when they learned that this precious blue-eyed blond baby would start their family. soon learned that Caroline was waiting in the wings for Nick, and she was born the following year. Preceded in death by JoAnn Blue Bobbie, Nick is survived by his father, Ronald John Bobbie, mother Frances Dayton Bobbie, brothers, Daniel McGrath Dayton and Christopher John Bobbie, and sister Caroline Marie Bobbie, all of Raleigh. He is also survived by his beloved grandmother, Virginia Bobbie, of Whiting, New Jersey, and his aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom loved him dearly. Nick graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School, class of 2006. He attended Appalachian State University. He lived life on his own terms, often amazing his family. His loyalty and generosity to his friends were legendary, to which his co-workers, soccer teammates and coaches will attest. He was a master of trivia, especially popular culture, and of board games. He was a fan of Manchester United, Carolina Panthers, and the Carolina Hurricanes. His employment history included Mos Southwestern Grill, Jersey Mikes, Mi Cancun, and his dream was to open his own restaurant. When Nick smiled, it lit up the world. We adored him and will miss him terribly. It comforts us to know that he is back in the arms of JoAnn. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on , 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2718 Overbrook Drive, Raleigh, NC with a visitation to immediately follow. Inurnment will be at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC. Obituary: Jacqueline Ann Dunstan Martin Boaz 6, 1933 - 27, 2015 Jacqueline Ann Dunstan Martin Boaz passed away 27, 2015 after a brief illness. Mrs. Boaz was born 6, 1933 in Winston Salem to Richard Lee Dunstan, Jr. and Frances Caldwell Dunstan. "Jackie" lived most of her life in Winston Salem, having been raised by her paternal grandparents Richard Lee Dunstan, Sr.(Grandaddy) and Maude Washington Journey(Nanny). Mrs. Boaz was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School in 1951, the same year she married Julian Richard Martin, who precedes her in death. remained married for 27 years. Always one to stay busy, she worked over the years for many companies, culminating with her longest tenure at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco in their lnternational Tax Department before retiring in 1991. Jackie was a member of Knollwood Baptist Church and the Junior Woman's Club. She was an avid reader, loved her trips to the coast, while still able, and adored her many sets of Siamese cats. Mrs. Boaz is preceded in death by both of her parents, grandparents, sister, Joan Lee Dunstan and her husband, Alan Wright Boaz. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Dunstan Martin; sons, Michael Richard Martin (Trina) and David Lee Martin (Christine) and her grandchildren, Lea Ann, Ali Elizabeth, and lan Michael Martin. There will be a service commemorating her life , 8 at 2:00pm at Knollwood Baptist Church, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. ln lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Knollwood Baptist Church, The Shepherds , Senior Services Meals on Wheels, or the charity of your choice. |
