Obituary: Charlotte, Bessie McDonald Beck, age 92 formerly of Carthage died at Carmel Place Independent Living in Charlotte. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM at Union Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Rick Martindale. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Bessie was born in Moore to the late Miller and Mary Bell Phillips McDonald. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian church in Carthage for many years and owned Beck's Florist in Carthage until she retired in 1992. For the last several years she has lived in Charlotte where she could be closer to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred H. Beck Sr. who died in 1989. She is survived by her son Fred H. Beck Jr and his wife Nancy and her daughter Lauree B. Dale all of Charlotte. Bessie is survived by grandchildren, Heather N. Beck, Thomas L. Beck and his wife, Melody, Zack T. Beck, J. Hunter Dale and his wife Angela and Stephen A. Dale. The delight of her later years were her great grandchildren, Clara Belle Beck and Milly-Rue Beck. The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett on from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Obituary: Annie Louise Beck 18, 1939- 7, 2015 Balsam-Beck, Annie Louise, 75, passed away peacefully at Mission Hospital on, , 7, 2015. Born in South Carolina, she was at the daughter of the late Grady and Ellen Green Beck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Beck and her sister Doris Brown. Annie enjoyed her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephew and great-great nieces and nephews. She was loved so much by those beautiful children. She was a faithful member of Balsam Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister Barbara Jean Dehil and a brother Arthur Beck both of Waynesville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, , 9, 2015 at Balsam Missionary Church with the Reverend Johnny Swanger officiating. Burial will follow at the Balsam Missionary Baptist Church . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Balsam Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 280, Balsam, NC 28707.
