Born in Manchester on May 21, 1941, he was the son of Rene and Lucille (Delage) Bergeron. He grew up in Manchester, then lived in Allenstown for many years. He served in the NH Air National Guard and was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Mr. Bergeron worked for Manchester Sand and Gravel for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 633. The family includes his wife of 47 years, Rose T. (Murray) Bergeron of Allenstown; three children, David R. Bergeron of Manchester, Deborah L. Silvia of Claremont and Susan T. Rugar of Clinton Corners, NY; four grandchildren and one great grandson; two brothers, Arthur Bergeron and Leo Bergeron both of Texas; three sisters, Laurette Moulton of Manchester, Lorraine Carle of Merrimack and Claire Silkman of Hooksett; and cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated , 4, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Church, corner of Main and School streets, Allenstown. Prior to retirement, he worked as the press room superintendent for the Union Leader Corporation. Richard loved to golf, hunt, fish, and sail. She was born in Manchester 14, 1943 and was the daughter of Stanley and Ruthie (McQuaid) Szumierz. She graduated from Central High School in 1960. She was a lifelong resident of this city and had also summered in Hampton, NH. Mrs. Bergeron had worked for N.E. She loved the beach and enjoyed reading, walking and especially spending time with her family. Obituary: Marshall L. Bergeron 85, of Castle Street, Keene, NH and formerly of Benford Place in Keene, died at his home on , May 26, 2011, with his family. He was born in St. Samuel, Quebec, Canada, 6, 1925, the son of Henry J. and Laura A. (LeBlance) Bergeron. He grew up in Keene, attending St. Joseph Regional School. In his junior of high school, Mr. Bergeron enlisted in the Army where served during World War II in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He was a member of the overseas Secret Service, spending six months with the French underground prior to the invasion of Normandy and also with the Italian underground. He earned the rank of Sergeant. Following his military obligation, Mr. Bergeron returned to school earning his GED from Keene High School. Mr. Bergeron worked for 30 years as a machinist with Kingsbury Corporation, retiring in of 1987. He had a great passion for baseball. He was a pitcher for the semi-professional Cleveland Indians baseball team, the Ft. Jay (NY) Service Team. He was the co-founder of the Keene Pee Wee Baseball League and coached area youth through Pee Wee, Little League, Babe Ruth and American Legion levels of baseball. He enjoyed umpiring for the American Legion baseball games and also for the Greater Keene Area Mens Softball League. He was an avid Yankees fan. He also enjoyed playing cribbage and candlepin bowling. Mr. Bergeron was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernards Church in Keene where he was very active in church activities, as well as activities at St. Josephs Regional School including coaching the CYO basketball, baseball and football teams. He was a member of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Keene Post 4 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Keene Post 799. He is survived by five sons; Bruce J. Ike Bergeron and his wife, Maureen, of Brattleboro, VT, Michael H. Bergeron and his wife, Vicki, and J. David Bergeron and his wife, Ava, all of Orlando, FL, Russell J. Bergeron and his wife, Pamela, of Chesterfield, NH, Ramon P. Bergeron and his wife, Karen, of El Segundo, CA, two daughters; Marcia A. Winchester and her husband Norman Winchester, Jr. of Westmoreland, NH, Cathy A. Croteau and her husband, Martin, of Keene, 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Janet I. (Russell) Bergeron; five brothers; Robert, Leo, Richard, Paul and Edward Pete Bergeron, and seven sisters; Lorette Bergeron, Annette Laffond, Mary Jane Waslaske, Alice Soucise, and Anita Bardwell. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated , 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Bernards Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH. Burial will follow in St. Josephs , Main Street, Keene. She also leaves her father, Arthur Ray Perkins and his wife, Jayne, of Sterling, MA, and her sisters Nancy and husband Don, Laurie and her husband Wayne of Massachusetts, Jeanne and her husband Bob of Maryland and her sister in-law Cathy. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Marjorie Perkins and brother Jim Perkins. Heidi worked in Goffstown School District as a paraprofessional for preschoolers and kindergarteners, a job which filled her life with light, as she loved children. She was also involved with Animal Allies of Manchester, which allowed her to love an endless amount of kittens through fostering. Heidi was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to all that knew her. Her life was lived for those she loved, which knew no bounds. She will be remembered by her loved ones with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart for all. We know that somewhere, she is walking on a beach, spending an endless vacation by the sea. A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated , 28, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Elm St. Manchester. Burial took place at the convenience of the family. Obituary: Grace A. Bergeron 93, of Whispering Wind Lane, Rochester, NH, passed away peacefully on afternoon, 12, 2017 at the Rochester Manor. She was born in Marlow, NH on May 4 1923, the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Murdough) Carpenter. She was a 1942 graduate of Keene High School. Grace resided in Keene, NH, Florida, and Claremont, NH, before settling in Rochester in 2005. She took great pride in creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband and children, and later, providing a special place to create wonderful memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, and visited every state with the exception of Alaska, and also traveled throughout much of Mexico and Canada. Grace enjoyed creating woodworking projects with her husband Clarence, which they displayed and sold at craft fairs throughout Florida and New England. She also enjoyed bird watching and ceramics. She will be greatly missed by many including her children, Clarence R. Bergeron, Jr. of Laconia, NH, Linda Perry and her husband, David, of York, PA, Theodore Bergeron of Keene, and Kevin Bergeron and his wife, Bonnie, of Rochester; Donna Bergeron of Laconia; her grandchildren, Carrie Lennon and Stacey Harrison of Laconia, Jennifer Perry of York, PA, Apryl Flick of Ridgeville, SC, Rebecca Lydon and Catherine Lavigne of Keene; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Clarence R. Tuffy Bergeron; granddaughter, Janice Barfield; daughter-in-law, Donna Bergeron; a brother, Robert Carpenter; and a sister, Margaret Bergeron. A graveside service will be held , 20, 2017 at 1:00PM in St. Joseph , Main Street, Keene. Family and friends are welcome. There are no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Bergerons memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. |
