Obituary: Gertie Theloda Beckner of , CA passed away at the Adventist Medical on 9/11/2014 in with her family at her side, she was 97 years old. Gertie was born on 1, 1917 To the late Andrew and Gracie Lee in Helena, Arkansas. She was raised in Arkansas and relocated to California in 1970 when her eldest son Earnest Williams drove the entire family cross country and settled in , California; she was later joined by her husband Clarence Beckner who preceded her in death. Gertie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and she was actively involved in all her children and grandchildren's lives. She was always an inspiration and her faith in God was a source of strength to her entire family because she did not boost but rather lived out her faith through her drive, determination, independence, confidence and continual acts of love and support. Gertie leaves to cherish her memory: 6 children: Beulah Mae Ward of Jacksonville AR, Earnest Williams of Hemet, CA, Clarence Beckner II also known as Lee Oscar of St Louis, MO, Beolar Beckner of , CA, Edward Beckner, of Seattle WA and Earline Beckner-Perrilliat of Suisun City, CA, and 37 Grand Children, 98 Great Grand Children, 77 Great Great Grand Children, 1 Sister Minnie Murphy of Helena AR, and 1 brother (Elder) Tom Henry Lee of Indianapolis, IN.
