Obituary: Meriam N. Brown, 92, passed away peacefully on 24, 2016, at her home in Brandon.

Mrs. Brown was born on 29, 1923, in Hoodtown, MS. her family moved to Pearl her senior year, she graduated from Brandon High in 1942. Meriam, a faithful follower of Jesus, served the people of Pearson Baptist Church in Pearl for over 50 years as a childrens school teacher and Womens Missionary Union director. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She worked at Knox Glass and Mississippi State Hospital, but spent most of her life as a dedicated and faithful homemaker. Mrs. Brown was affectionately known as "Mamaw Brown," and her hospitality topped with a slice of lemon pound cake and glass of sweet tea reached beyond her own kin to anyone she knew. She had an ear for those in need. She raised her children and many others she called her own. The legacy of faith she leaves is far-reaching.

Meriam is survived by her daughters, Cathy Brown Ainsworth (Frank) and Martha Crozier McKinion (Cleo) both of Brandon; sons, Tommy Crozier (Virginia) of Pearl and Nelson Crozier (Denise) of Mt. Olive. Mrs. Brown is also survived by seven grandchildren: Raymond McKinion (Heather), Rene Brown (Alan), Johnny McKinion, Tommy Crozier (Pam), Ashley Evans (Angela), Kevin Crozier ( ), and Christie McLendon (Justin). In addition to her grandchildren, Meriam has twenty-two great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond T. Brown of Pearl; parents, John Crymes Nelson and Martha Geneva Hood Nelson along with her step-mother, Hazel McGowen Nelson all of Pearl; her granddaughter, Marcia Crozier Ulmer of Laurel; and her brother John Chadwick Nelson (Mildred) of Starkville.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm, , 26. 2016, at Baldwin-Lee in Pearl. services will be held at 11:00am, , 27, 2016, at Pearson Baptist Church in Pearl with interment to follow at Lakewood South in Jackson.

Because Meriam loved children so much, please make donations in lieu of flowers to Blair E. Batson Childrens Hospital at www.umc.edu or to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

Obituary: Pearl Maylene Brown, 86, died , 21, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born 3, 1925, in Prentiss to the late Odus and Pearl Walden Brown. She had been the Lunch Program Manager at New Site High School and also served as a certified nutritionist over 13 headstart programs across 7 counties. She was a member of Little Brown Creek Freewill Baptist Church and had served as a volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed singing at church, cooking and gardening which she shared with her neighbors. Her family was the most important thing in her life.

services will be 3:00 p.m. , 23, 2011 at the McMillan Chapel with Bro. Tim Doss and Minister Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Little Brown .

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Nann Bancks (Nick) of Jacksonville, FL, and Rebecca Becky Lambert of New Site; four sons, E. Trenton Brown, Jr. (Brenda) of Eatonton, GA, Carroll T. Brown (Jean Ann) of High Point, NC, Nathan O. Brown (Juanita) of New Site, and Daniel Wyatt Brown (Lyn) of Eatonton, GA; two sisters, Virginia Penna (Wilma) of Memphis, and Beverly Taylor of Russellville, Alabama; three brothers, Johnny W. Browne, Ewell Brown (Hazel), and Vance Brown (Louise), all of Booneville; two sisters-in-law, Eula Brown and Eva Nell Brown, both of Booneville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Pamela J. Brown; two brothers, Leamon and Edwin Brown; brother-in-law, Bobby Taylor; grandson, Sgt. Jonathan Lambert; granddaughter, Ashley Shannon Brown.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Brown, her parents, Clyde "Buster" Breland and Hazel DuBose Breland, sisters Patsy Ruth Breland Smith and Peggy Joyce Breland Sherman, and brothers Mike and Frank Breland. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Carl Brown; one son, Keith Brown and his wife Lisa; one daughter, Angela Davidson and her husband Bill; all of Poplarville, Mississippi; and five grandchildren, Hannah Nix, Mollie Brown, Brennan Brown, Lana Davidson, and Landon Davidson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, JoEllen Herndon.

Obituary: Marilyn Ray Brown of Ridgeland, Mississippi, died on the afternoon of 7, 2013. She was 91 years of age at the time of her death. She lived at the Rose Garden (a unit of the Orchard in Ridgeland) for the last few years of her life. She died from complications resulting from a severe stroke which occurred on New Years Day of this year.

Marilyn was born on 24, 1921 in Attala , Mississippi to W. L. Ray and Mary James Carlisle Ray, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brother, James L. Ray.

She is survived by her only child, Tom Cooper Brown, Jr. (Becky) of Madison, granddaughters Katie Doremus (Timothy) of Owasso, OK and Hayley Brown of Chillicothe, IL, great-grandchildren Olivia and Jackson Doremus, nephews John Ray (Pam) of Jackson and James Ray (Cynthia) of Vicksburg, and greatnephews Jonathan, Jason (Lauren) and Justin Ray, all of Jackson.

She attended school in Kosciusko, graduating from high school there. During World War II, Marilyn lived in Jackson, Mississippi and was employed at the Mississippi State Highway Department. On May 18, 1947, she married Tom Cooper Brown, Sr. were married until his death on 20, 2004. Their first residence was in Clinton, Mississippi, and they soon moved to north Jackson where they resided until moving to a retirement home in Ridgeland in 2002, where they lived until Toms death.

Marilyn and her husband were charter members of Broadmeadow Methodist Church (now Broadmeadow United Methodist Church) located in northeast Jackson and continued to be active there until they retired to Ridgeland. During her life, Marilyn enjoyed needlework, reading, volunteering at her church, afternoon coffee with her close circle of friends and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be at Wright & Ferguson in Ridgeland at 10:00 AM on 11, 2013 and there will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the Capital Campaign at Highlands Presbyterian Church (1160 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157).

The family would like to thank the staff at The Orchard Rose Garden for their loving and compassionate care of Marilyn over the last six years.
