Obituary: TUSCALOOSA - Charles C. Bannerman, age 72, died 15, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. , 19, 2017 at Pineywoods Gospel Tabernacle Church with Jimmy Holliman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset , a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be , 18, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Beulah Bannerman; one brother, John Bannerman; sister, Marie Booker; and one daughter, Rita Maddox. Obituary: BANKSTON, THELMA LOUISE JONES, age 87 of Birmingham, passed away , 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leander and Louise Jones; and husband, James Bankston. Surviving and cherishing her memory are her son, Dennis Bankston (Cindy); daughter, Leigh Martin (Russell); grandchildren, Jennifer Owen (Mark), Leslie Moody (James), Brynn Dyas (Chez), and Claire Brewster (Clay); and great-grandchildren, Elliana Owen, Lily Moody, Leah Kate Moody, Maggie Brewster and Mia Brewster. Some of her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thelma was a long standing member of Point Methodist Church. She was a humble, gracious, faithful and loving servant of Jesus Christ for Whom she modeled His love to all she met. Her family will forever remember the example she set in her honest and close walk with Christ. She led a long, beautiful and productive life, always with a smile on her face and considering others before herself.
