Obituary: BANCROFT, Sally - Age 82, of Fenton, died , May 6, 2011 at Genesys Park. Mrs. Bancroft was born May 20, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Harriett Holland Jr. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Anglican Church. Sally graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Art Education and was a jewelry artist. Surviving are sons, Donald (Skip) and wife Joanna Bancroft, Robert Bancroft, Andrew and wife Cindy Bancroft, daughter, Sarah Bancroft; grandchildren, Rachael Bancroft, Tyler Whittico, Evan Bancroft, Elise Bancroft, Jacqueline Teder, Bancroft; two great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Buz) Holland, sisters, Sedate Redfield and Mary Nason; niece Jane Cook and many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bancroft was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Bancroft Jr. in 2002. As were her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 p.m. , May 10, 2011 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Gene Geromel will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sally and Donalds name may be made to St. Bartholomew Church. |

Obituary: Nina Elizabeth Bancroft Lansing, Michigan Nina Elizabeth Bancroft, 72, of Mason, formerly of Lansing, Michigan, passed away 30, 2014. She was born 20, 1942 to Gerald and Leta (Moore) Hankins. Nina enjoyed reading, cooking, and baking, especially homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. While Nina lived in both Lansing and the Petoskey area, she also resided in Germany and Hawaii during her lifetime. Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Charles Bancroft, Jr., and her parents. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Jeffrey (Wanda) Bancroft, Machelle Bancroft, Brenda (the late Jeffrey) Stevens, and Stephanie (Aaron) Berg; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Broman and Bonnie Atherton. No services will be held. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906. Obituary: Martha (Peplinski) Bancroft, 91 of Kingsley died on 11, 2010 at Bortz surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kasson Township on 27, 1919 the daughter of Louis and Agnes (Strozewski) Peplinski. Martha married Wallace Bancroft in 1946 in Empire, he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church, the paradise flower club, and was a member of the UAW. Martha helped her husband on the family farm and also worked at Setwell and Burwoods. She enjoyed woodworking, gardening, quilting, and sewing. Martha was always willing to help a friend. She is survived by four children; James (Judy) Bancroft of Millersburg, MI, Daniel (Sharon) Bancroft of Menominee, MI, Shirley (Mel) Hoxie of Kingsley, and Mary (John) Kovacs of Traverse City, Seven grandchildren; Sarah, John, Joanna, Scott, Rebecca, Carter, and Andrew, two great-grandchildren; Kade and Grace, one sister; Regina Bailey of Freeland, Mi. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wallace Bancroft, 10 siblings, her son-in-law Terry Alan Skok, and, grandson Thomas Edward Skok. Visitation will be held on 14, 2010 at Covell , Kingsley from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on , 15, 2010 at 11 am from St. Marys of Hannah Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. FR. Michael Conner will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen . Memorials may be given in Marthas name to St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church Mass intentions, Bortz , or Hospice of Michigan. have been entrusted to Covell , Kingsley. |
