Obituary: Stuart McRimmon Baker died peacefully at his home on 10, 2015. He was born on 31, 1921 in Mobile, AL to Pearl and Lonnie Baker, 1 of 7 children. He went in the United States Air Force at age 18 where he went from working on airplanes to getting his wings as a fighter pilot in World War II. Stuart retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and also retired from the Social Security Administration. He was a faithful member of Huffman Baptist Church before he became ill. He was a good husband, father and grandfather. Stuart is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, a sister, his son, Stuart Baker, Jr. and grandson, Maxwell Baker. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Irene Ball Baker and 3 daughters; Jean Ann Ulmer (Jerry) of Birmingham, AL, Mary Ellen Wilson (Bob) of Birmingham, AL, Kathryn Snyder (Rusty) of Crestview, FL; sister, Katie Adler of Elberta, AL and daughter in law, Mary Ellen Baker of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 11 great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on 15th at Ridouts Valley Chapel wood, AL with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be at Alabama National Veterans in Montevallo, Al at 1:15 p.m. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Wilson and Shannon Ellis, who the family wishes to thank for their care of Mr. Baker.
