Obituary: OLD TOWN - Jean Marie Butler, 96, died peacefully 27, 2014 at a Bangor hospital with family by her side. She was born 15, 1918, in Witley, England, a daughter of Edward C. and Constance E. (Webb) Boucher. She retired from the University of Maine after 32 years. She was a strong independent woman and was able to live on her own until her death. She loved bowling and participated in the Old Town KC Aux Bowling League. She enjoyed watching golf and the Red Sox, playing cards, crossword puzzles, watching BBC programs, crochet and knitting. She also enjoyed her family and family gatherings, traveling and visiting the Maine Coast. She is survived two children, Barbara Deshane and her husband, Henry of Glenburn, Judith Anaman of Scarborough; seven grandchildren, Amy Tucker and her husband, Troy, Nancy Deshane Snowdeal and husband Christopher, Jennifer Deshane, Christina Chludzinski and husband, Michael, Tammy Downing, Nathaniel Anaman, Samantha Anaman; great-grandchildren, Audrey Tucker, Hannah and Sarah Snowdeal, Ryanne Downing, Campbell and Jackson Chludzinski, sisters, Catherine Pelletier and husband Joseph of Bradley, Teresa Harris of Milford; Helen Hesseltine and her husband, Norman of Milford; brothers, Wilfred Boucher and wife, Beatrice of CT, Richard Boucher and his wife, Gloria, and Robert Boucher and his wife, Patricia all of Old Town; many nieces and nephews. Special "daughters" Lisa Lord and Laurie McCloud. She was predeceased by sister, Dorothy Angotti, and brothers, Donald Boucher and Norman Boucher. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. at the Birmingham , 438 Main St., Old Town. Burial will follow at St. Joseph , Old Town. Immediately following the service all are invited to the Holy Family Parish Hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Obituary: James J. Butler, 76 Waterville - James J. Butler, 76, of Waterville, died 23, 2016 at MaineGeneral Medical in a after a lengthy illness. He was born on 20, 1939 in Waterville, a son of Arthermise (Giguere) and Percy L. Butler, Sr. He was educated in local schools. Jims entire career was in food service and he was a chef at Colby for over 35 years. Food was not only his work but also his hobby and his tourtiere meat pies were a greatly anticipated and welcomed Christmas gift. Jim was a quiet man who preferred life in the city to living in the country and he enjoyed walking wherever he had to go. He will be remembered as a man who was very organized and could be set in his ways. He always had a good word for everybody which was fitting for a man who was very loving and caring, easy going and attentive to family and friends. He is survived by his brother, Percy Sonny Butler and his wife Priscilla Pat of Canton and their eight children: Donna, Wayne, Timothy, James, Rhonda, Allison, Kevin and Percy; his friend and love of over 40 years, Roberta Yvette Moreau of Waterville; as well as a large extended family. He was predeceased by his three sisters: Shirley Butler, Jacqueline Ouellette and Christine Butler. Visiting hours will be on 2, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM at Veilleux , 8 Elm Street, Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on 3 at 9 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver Street, Waterville with a reception immediately following in the church hall.
