Obituary: Michael D. Braun Sr. 1948 - 2009 Auburn- Michael D. Braun Sr. 61, of Rejane Ave. Lewiston, born 14,1948 in Dorchester, MA, deeply beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Michael D. Braun Sr. gently departed from this life on Thanksgiving Day 2009. Having graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1965, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and saw combat in the mountains of Vietnam through the summer of 1969. He was awarded the Navy Commendation and the Bronze Star, being honorably discharged in 1970 with the rank of Sergeant. He earned his Associates Degree in Allied from Northeastern University in 1975 and his Masters Degree in care Administration from the University of New Hampshire in 1986. His career in healthcare began at Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA, moving on to become Chief Respiratory Therapist, and then Vice President of Ancillary Services at Central Maine Medical until 1996. Before retiring in 2007, he was employed ten years with the Androscoggin Sheriffs Department, ultimately as Assistant Jail Administrator. He was married in 1972 to his loving wife Karen, and was gifted with sons Michael and Timothy, daughters Jillanne and Meaghan, and grandchildren Hannah, Wyatt and Shelby, the brightest lights in his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, golfer, and devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, and Boston football. His home and family were his greatest loves, and when illness befell him, he fought his final battle with pride, honor, and the defiant courage of a true hero. He is predeceased by his parents Paul Sr. and Marjorie, and older brother Paul Jr. He is survived by his immediate family, sisters Barbara, Joanne, Caroline and Katherine, son-in-law Jason, daughter-in-law Jenna, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews whom he cherished, and myriad friends whom he deeply touched. Obituary: HUDSON - Glenna C. Brasslett, 92, died 26, 2014 at an Orono health care facility. She was born May 10, 1922 in Parkman a daughter of Percy and Mabel (Wheaton) Vinson. Glenna will be remembered for her cooking, canning, crocheting, knitting and taking care of her family. She enjoyed walks on her property, and taking day trips to see the many Maine sites. She volunteered at the Holy Family Parish Thrift Shop and was a past member of the Pushaw lake snowmobile club. Glenna was elected as Tax Collector for the Town of Hudson in of 1955, elected Town Treasurer in 1956, and Town Clerk in 1957, She held these three positions until going to work in the Office of the Superintendent of School for MSAD#64, retiring in 1985. She also was a Notary for the Town of Hudson and at the time of her death she was the oldest living resident of Hudson. She has lived in Hudson since 1944 and had worked for her father's store that is now known as Roger's Market. She is survived by four children Ronald Brasslett and his wife Elaine of Dexter, Sharon Junkins and her husband Ron of Hudson, Duane Brasslett of Old Town, and Gary Brasslett and his wife Cindy of Medway; 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchilden; sister Evangline Hanson of Portland; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Brasslett in 1997, a son Dale Hamilton, brother Donavon Vinson, and sister Alma Dunton. Friends may call 6-8PM at the Birmingham 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Obituary: Old Town - Charlene L. Brasslett, 65, died peacefully at home on 8, 2010. She was born on May 29, 1945 the daughter of Michael and Florence (Morrisey) Brayson. Charlene was born in Old Town, and moved to Exeter when she was 13 and lived there until the age of 20. She graduated from East Corinth Academy in 1963 and married her high school sweetheart, Duane, in 1964, and they moved back to Old Town where they still reside. Charlene will be remembered for her kindness to others and is known well to many because she was one of the cooks at Leonard Middle School for 12 years. She is a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Old Town, and an active member of the Daughters of Isabella for 20 years. Her love of family, friends and animals will always be remembered. Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Duane; 3 children and their spouses, Diane and her husband, Ed of Hudson, Christopher and his wife, Joyce, of Garner, NC, and Julie and her husband , Jason, of Old Town; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Mark, Alexis, and Colin; and 2 step-grandchildren Christopher Thomas and Heather Hamm. She is also survived by her mother, Florence Brayson; her siblings and their spouses, Pearl Hawes and her husband Alvin, Doris Watson and her husband and Dale, Linda Delong and her husband Darrell, Michael Brayson, Jerry Brayson and his wife Carol, Robert Brayson, Marie Fields and her husband Paul, and John Brayson. She will be remembered by many special nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 3-5pm and 7-9pm on , 11, at Birmingham , 438 Main St., Old Town. Obituary: PORTLAND - Karleane D. Brant, 77, was called to glory on Oct. 30, 2016. She was surrounded by family at the time of her death. Karleane was born on Oct. 8, 1939, in Gardiner. She graduated from Portland High School, class of 1957. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passions were her family, friends and her extended family at Grace Baptist Church. She looked forward to worships. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet her would tell you she was the sweetest, kindest person. She was a selfless person who would always put someone else's needs before her own. Obituary: Westbrook - Arthur Noble Brant was called to glory on 5, 2015 . He was surrounded by family at the time of his death. Art was born 14, 1936 in Kingston, NY. He graduated from Kingston H.S., where he was a member of the track team and also lettered in Band, playing the trumpet. Shortly after he joined the U.S. Navy where he became a Medical Corpsman, attached to a Marine unit in Okinawa, Japan. A family man and truck driver most of his life, when retired from driving for Hannaford Brother's, he and his wife Karleane (or "AB and Skip") were able to spend more time with their family and traveling. One of his favorite times was Christmas, making it a point to pick out a special gift for his grandchildren and usually ending up on the floor playing with them. Though he was not one to show his feelings easily, when he did speak about any of his 8 children, it was with a deep sense of pride and excitement, in his eyes and voice. He would share stories with his kids, like how he worked as a teenager and had his own money, buying peanut butter and keeping track of the amount in the jar so he would know if his siblings were dipping into it. AB and Skip loved watching their game shows together and Red Sox Games too, hoping "Big Papi" would hit one out, and they always looked forward to their evenings with sister "Edie", and worship with their extended family at Grace Baptist Church, where he was a proud member of their wonderful choir. Art was pre-deceased by his parents Charles W. Brant Sr and Emma M. Brant, his brother Charles W. Brant Jr. and a son Thomas Jordan. He is survived by his siblings, Etta (Brant) Bickford, Robert Brant, Edith (Brant) Flaherty, Emma (Brant) Bickford and Elizabeth (Brant) Golder, his beloved wife of 38 years, Karleane D. Brant, his children Suzanne York, Charles H. Brant II, Debra "The Boss" Pardi, Timothy Jordan, Arthur N.
