Obituary: MARY ANN ARNOLD BRASWELL, 70 LAKE PROVIDENCE, LOUISIANA Cox Lake Providence, Louisiana LAKE PROVIDENCE, LA - services for Mary Ann Arnold Braswell, age 70 a retired secretary of Lake Providence, will be held at 2 PM on , 17, 2014 at Transylvania Baptist Church in Transylvania, Louisiana. Reverend Jeff Eagles will officiate. Interment will follow in the Providence Memorial Park in Lake Providence. Services are under the direction of Cox s of Oak Grove & Lake Providence. Mrs. Braswell passed away , 14, 2014 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Mary Ann worked at Tallulah Academy for 39 years and loved every minute of it. She played pokeno and was a regular with the Red Hat Ladies of Lake Providence. She had several nieces and nephew and cousins. She had many, many great and wonderful friends that have stood by her side, to whom the family appreciates so much. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank James Arnold; her mother, Edna Mae McIntyre Arnold; brother-in-law, Melvin Coleman and brother-in-law, Dewey Bryant. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 52 years, Johnny Scott Braswell of Lake Providence, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Braswell Hattaway and Jimmie Hattaway of Lake Providence; daughter and her friend, Karen Libby Elizabeth Braswell and Robin Smithey of Transylvania, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Scott and Amy Braswell of Transylvania; sister, Betty Arnold Coleman of Louisburg, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Helen Dale Braswell Bryant of Hohenwald, Tennessee. She is also survived by her grandson, Jon Michael Fortenberry of Forest, Louisiana; granddaughter, Courtney Braswell of Transylvania; grandson, Brandon Braswell of Transylvania; great granddaughter, Katherine Fortenberry of Oak Grove; 4 step grandchildren; her uncle, William Bill McIntyre of Lake Providence; niece, Tracie Anne Morgan of Orlando, Florida; niece, Susan Lea Gordon of Louisburg, North Carolina; niece Dale Ann Nicolson of Hohenwald, Tennessee; and 5 cousins, Jimmy Charles White, Jewel Wilhite, Mike Wilhite, Barbara Strickland and Mary Ann Wright. Pallbearers are: Jon Michael Fortenberry, Brandon Braswell, Austin Payne, Joe Joe Foster, Jamie Mimms and Rusty Thornton. Honorary Pallbeares are: LaBane Clement, Buddy Fairchild, Gary Parker, Gary Johns and Bob McIntyre. Family will receive friends on , 16, 2014 between the hours of 5 to 8 PM and again on , 17, 2014 from 11 AM until time of service at Transylvania Baptist Church in Transylvania, Louisiana.
