Obituary: William Bill Bowman, 58, moved on to his final resting place on , 5, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Matherne Bowman; son, William Bowman; daughter, Rachael Hines and husband Bryan, grandsons, Dominic and Peyton; Stepson, Stephen Aucoin and wife Robbie, grandsons, Scout, Logan, and Owen; Stepson, Jeremy Aucoin and wife Shannon, granddaughter, Ayden and grandson, Seth; stepdaughter, Bridgette Owens and granddaughter, Taylor; Brothers, James Bowman and wife Beth, and Richard Bowman; sisters, Michelle Vice and Barbara Irwin and husband Chuck; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris Bowman. All who knew Bill understood he lived life his way and at the last phase of his life, did it the same way. A note of thanks to his niece, Melanie, his brothers as well as mine, and our friend, Kary, for their time spent in caring for him. A special note of thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice, whose midnight efforts facilitated his last wishes- to be at home with his family. Obituary: Harold Bowman Wesley Bowman, age 83 and a native of Louisiana, passed away on Sept. 13, 2014. He was the son of the late John and Rebecca Bowman. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Earl Bowman, Mildred Hazel Bowman Kerwin, Myeline Bowman Chapman and Clarence Bowman. He is survived by his younger sister, Shirley Doss (Lewis). Mr. Bowman was married to Lucille Miley Bowman for 54 years. Togeth-er, they were blessed with three children: a son, John Eric Bowman (de-ceased) of Man-deville, and two daughters, Serelda Bowman Young (Stephen) of Bush and Debra Bowman Palisi (Michel) of Madisonville. were also blessed with seven grandchildren: Brandie Bowman Hansel, Jessica Young, Michael Young, Ryan Young, Thomas Palisi, Lexi Palisi and Kyli Palisi. Mr. Bowman was a doting husband and a nurturing parent and grandparent who was dearly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a good man and a good friend. Mr. Bowman served in the United States Army as a young man, seeing duty in the Korean War. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a switchman for 42 years. Mr. Bowman was also a proud member of the Williams Boulevard Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and actively involved with the Bus Ministry for many years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Memorial services will be held at the Brown-McGehee in Bogalusa and include visitation on Sept. 17, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Sept. 18, 2014, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services will commence at 11 a.m. on Sept. 18, 2014. Family and friends are invited to attend. |
