Obituary: A Mass of Christian burial will be held , 20, 2014, at 2:00PM at the Church of the Assumption for Eula Mae Miguez Black, 86, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin who passed away , 16, 2014, at 5:50 AM at her residence . She will be laid to rest in the Franklin . Serving as pallbearers will be Miles Ayers, Lucas Dore, Jeremy Tucker, Jerry Ritter and Kenny Miguez. Father Glenn Meaux will officiate the services. Eula Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She worked for Southern Bell Telephone from 1946-1951, then went to work for Shell Oil in 1953. She married Jimmy Black in 1953, his work with Cabot took them to different states and countries, but their home was always Franklin. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Iberts Mortuary from 10:00 AM until service time, with the rosary being prayed at 1:00 PM. Survivors include three children, James Dale Black, Boni Black Ritter and her husband Jerry and Barry Mark Black and his longtime companion Roxie Day; three granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Tucker and her husband Jeremy, Erin Michelle Dore and her husband Lucas and Jennifer Lee Ayers and her husband Miles and five great grandchildren, Ava Dore, Aiden Dore, Lillian Tucker, Bly Tucker and Finlay Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Durwood Black, an infant daughter; her parents, Emile, Sr. and Adrienne Escagne Miguez; two brothers, Emile Miguez, Jr. and Ory J. Miguez and his wife Alma; two sisters, Nell Miguez and Hazel Noonan and her husband Morris. To her caregivers, Donna Davis, Sherry Carter, Val Carter and Alice Randle, a very special thanks to all of you for giving her such loving care. Obituary: Charles A. Buddy Black Charles A. Buddy Black, passed away on , 17, 2015, with his family by his side at his home in Delhi, Louisiana. Visitation will be , 19, 2015 from 5-8pm at Harmony Baptist Church, Delhi, LA. Service will be , 20, 2015 at 2pm at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Scottie Gray & Bro. Eddie Fuller, Bill Goodman, & Larry Pickett officiating. A Private Burial will be at Faith Memorial Park near Delhi under the direction of Cox , Delhi. Buddy was born on 14, 1932 in Franklin Parish to Fred and Pauline Black. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 45 years, Patty Sue Johns Black, one sister Elizabeth Dupree Edwards, and recently deceased wife of 6 years, Carolyn Chisholm Black. Buddy was a long time resident of the Delhi area. He graduated from Central High School, joined the United States Army National Guard of Louisiana, and served as Airman First Lieutenant with the U.S. Air Force for four years. serving in the military, Buddy worked as a missile technician for General Dynamics in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He then returned to Louisiana to attend University of Louisiana Monroe where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. For a brief time he was employed by Comet Rice Mills as a rice exporter in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Houston. wards, he settled in Delhi where he was engaged in farming operations throughout Richland and Franklin Parishes since 1964 and was owner and operator of Blacks Gin until his retirement. Buddy had special interest in the quarter horse and cattle industry. His property south of Delhi was known one time as Horse Country. He was co-owner of Macon Ridge Propane and Macon Ridge Warehouses. In the past, he had been a Board member of the Federal Land Bank, Northeast Soil Conservation, Capital Bank, Riverfield Academy, in which he helped to found the school in 1972. Other organizations in which he held memberships included the Richland Parish Voter Commission, Richland Parish ASCS Committee, Richland Parish Cattlemans Association, Southern and National Ginners Association, Northeast Louisiana Livestock and Northeast Louisiana Cutting Horse Association, where he served as President. A member of the Harmony Baptist Church, also served on the Boards of Commercial Capital Bank and the Richland Parish Hospital. He was also a member in good standing with the Grand Lodge of Louisiana F. & A.M, Delhi No. 120. Buddy is survived by his three Daughters, Debbie Wilbanks (Delbert) of Delhi, LA; Sandy Black, (Sonny Mills) of Delhi, LA; and Jamie Burnside, (Gaylen) of Little Rock, AR. One sister Polly Goodman, (Bill) of Longview, Tx. Six Grandchildren, Nathan Nosser, (Brittany) of Many, LA; Allison Hollier, (Jake) of Delhi, LA; Morgan Nelson, (Zack) of Natchitoches, LA; Jon Taylor Davis, (Marissa) of Delhi, LA; Miles Burnside of Little Rock, AR.; and Taylor Wilbanks of Delhi, LA. He also had six great grandchildren, Brad, Klair and Londyn Nosser, Drake Hollier, Chandler and Paisley Wilbanks. Buddy is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers are Nathan Nosser, Jon Taylor Davis, Miles Burnside, Taylor Wilbanks, Zack Nelson, and Jake Hollier. Honorary Pallbearers are the Board of Directors of Commercial Capital Bank.
