Obituary: Paul Francis Baronne, born and raised in Baton Rouge, died unexpectedly on , Feb. 16, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical -Bluebonnet. He was 52 and the proud co-owner of MOV Services LLC with his brother, Jay. Paul was also a charter member and served on the board of the Parrot Head Club of Baton Rouge for 15 years. Preceded in death by his father, Johnny P. Baronne. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 33 years, Charlotte Buhler Baronne; daughter, Gina Marie Baronne, of Lafayette; and son, Kevin Paul Baronne, of Baton Rouge; He also leaves behind his mother, Marguerite Irwin Baronne; sisters and spouses, Linda B. and Jerry Willson, Toni B. and John Evans, and Kathy B. and Roger Farbe; brother, Jay and his wife, Patricia H. Baronne; mother-in-law, Winnie McLaughlin; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Joan Buhler; sister and brother-in-law, Karen B. and Kenny Stagg; nieces, Jenifer and Amy Patureau, Katelin and Kimberly Stagg, and Christy and Sandra Farbe; nephews, Chris Patureau, Nick and Greg Baronne, Kenneth and Kristopher Stagg, and Stephen and Eric Evans and wife Jennifer; great-niece, Kaley Baronne; great-nephew, Bryce Evans; and special granddaughter, Erin Hollis. Paul was a one of a kind husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by many. The visitation will be at Greenoaks on , Feb. 18, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Divine Mercy Chaplet will be led by the Catholic Daughters at 6:30 p.m. The visitation will resume on at St. Patrick Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Greg Baronne, Stephen Evans, Eric Evans, Ward Hicks, Ken Buhler, Chris Patureau, Nick Baronne and Paul Hollis. Paul was a gentle, calm person, not letting things upset him. He was a perfectionist and there wasn anything he could not do. He was always ready to help others with what he could. Pauls great passions were family gatherings, golf and spending time outdoors in Clinton hunting, fishing and cooking with his family. Obituary: Frederick Erasmo Barocco, son of the late Lena Valenti Barocco and Frederick B. Barocco, died early Thanksgiving morning, 27, 2014 with his daughter at his side. He'd suffered a fall a week earlier. He was 94. Freddie was an all-star athlete at Jesuit. In 1939, sports writer Art Burke called "Little Freddie" the "greatest of the smallest athletic heroes at Jesuit" due to his speed and skill in track, baseball, and football. Freddie's decade-long professional baseball career with the Evangeline and Tri-State (S.C.) leagues spanned the '40s and the '50s. His lifetime batting average at the time of his induction into the New Orleans Diamond Club Hall of Fame in 1975 was .347, the highest of their members, and his "On Base" average was an amazing .477. He served 4 years in the Coast Guard during WWII, where he met the love of his life, Jacqueline Kandler, a Coast Guard SPAR. wed in 1945, returned to New Orleans, and raised two children. were married 65 years until Jackie's death in 2010. Freddie worked for Shell Chemical in Norco for 30 years. He played semi-pro ball for their outstanding company team, managing the club the last two seasons until 1958. A true New Orleanian, Freddie loved stuffed artichokes, raw oysters, red beans on s, and coffee and beignets. And he made a mean Muffaletta. He and his late wife Jackie lived for their beloved Saints. Freddie also "followed the horses," smitten with the races as a youth when he visited Uncle Steve Valenti's stables. Carnival and card clubs, casino trips, the Ole Guys Club, meeting buddies at OTB-dad loved people. Mr. Freddie's door was always open and the M & Ms, cold drinks, and pound cake ready for kids, friends, family, and caregivers who came by his home of 60 years on Division Street. He often said: "I have the greatest neighbors in the world." Freddie is preceded in death by his wife Jackie, son Freddie Jr., brother Joe (Rosemary), sister Catherine (Ray), and brother-in-law Roy Rome.
