Obituary: Gregory S. Baird Greg was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He was born on 17, 1954 and died on 11, 2015 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice, Baton Rouge. He graduated Lee High School in 1973. He was an LSU Alumni as well. Greg worked as a real estate appraiser for 35 years and was a licensed relator with Remax. He was a faithful member of the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ. He is proceded in death by his parents Joseph G. and Dorothy G. Baird. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gary W. and Pamela S. Baird; nephew, Michael W. Baird. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Mitten and special friends Nella S. Babin (Sweet Cakes) and Sherri Parker. Thank you to all of Gregs friends for making his final days so special to him. He truly enjoyed all your visits and prayers. A special thanks to the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ family and the wonderful caregivers at the Hospice The Crossing. A memorial service was held at South Baton Rouge Church of Christ at 6 p.m. |

Obituary: BAIN Rickey Lukow Bain, age 104, passed away at Willow Wood Retirement on , 18, 2010. Beloved wife for 72 years of the late Leonard Bain. Devoted mother of Elliott M. Bain (Joan) of New Orleans, LA and Harriet B. Liroff (Richard) of South Orange, NJ. Grandmother of Steven Bain (Aimee), Brian Bain (Julie), Bradley Bain (Daniela), Susan Klinger (Joel), Bruce Liroff (Patti), and Robert Liroff (Liz), and great-grandmother of eight. Born in Brighton Beach, NY, she and Leonard lovingly raised their family in New Orleans, enjoying all the city had to offer and sharing their lives with countless friends here for 39 years. She actively was a member of Hadassah, the Square Circle Social Society, and temple sisterhood, before retiring to Aventura, Florida. In her passing, we all celebrate her sense of humor, her joie de vive and an amazing 104 years of life and love. For the past eight years, she has been devotedly and lovingly cared for by Martha Leon and Cheryl Robinson.
