Obituary: Jack Boustead, age 83 of Searcy, died on , 13, 2016. He was born on 21, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Henry Gordon Boustead and Elizabeth Bell Boustead. Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie; 4 children; Pam Dorsey and husband, Ken of Monroe, Louisiana, Cyndi Denney and husband, Richard of Searcy, Michael Boustead of Asheville, North Carolina, and Sarah Oats of Atlanta, Georgia; and 8 grandchildren, Jonathan Dorsey of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Amanda Dorsey of Monroe, Louisiana, Katelyn and Karleigh Denney, both from Searcy, Ashlyn, Nick, Luke and Ty Oats of Atlanta, Georgia. He had one sister, Margaret Slater, and one brother, Gordon Boustead. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Boustead, his sister, Margaret Slater, and one grandson, Landon Denney. Jack taught and coached junior high basketball in East Detroit, Michigan for 21 years. Jack was a professor and coached swimming at Harding University for 20 years. He was an active member of Church of Christ in Searcy. Jack enjoyed golf and was a member of the River Oaks Golf Club for several years. He even was lucky enough to get 2 holes in 1. He was a former volunteer at White Hospital and an active volunteer at His House, always greeting everyone with a warm smile. Jack and Billie enjoyed traveling to many places around the world. Jack also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports and other activities. Jack loved his family and prayed daily for his children and grandchildren. Visitation is , 15 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Powell . services will be held on , 16 at 10:00 am at Church of Christ with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
