Obituary: Shirley Elizabeth Baxley, age 81, of Russellville, died , 14, 2017 at home. She was born May 6, 1935, in Parsons, Kansas to Ray Albert and Zella Elizabeth Graham Lewis. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church and volunteered at Christian Clinic and Saint Mary s Hospital. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Larry Lewis. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Charles Baxley of the home; three children and their spouses, Vicki (Bill) Elliott of Clarksville, Stephen (Linda) Baxley of Russellville, and Terri (Eric) Barron of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer (Luke) Leeds, Sarah (J.D.) Prichard, Joshua (Jodie) Baxley, Jeremy (Krysten) Baxley, and Courtney, Joseph, and William Barron; four great-grandchildren, Landon and Peyton Leeds, and Hannah and Molly Baxley. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., on , 17, 2017 at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by Rev. Keith Shipley, with burial in Oakland , and under the direction of Shinn Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00p.m., on evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2405 E. Parkway Suite #3, Russellville, AR 72802. Obituary: I. Dwight Baxley, 72, of Searcy died at home surrounded by his loving family , 29, 2015. He was born 8, 1943 in England, Arkansas, the son of Ivory Rufes and Nancy Josephine Canada Baxley. He lived in Little Rock, Arkansas for several years and worked at Wittenberg, Delony and Davidson, Architectural Firm and later owned and operated the Continental Battery Store on Baseline Road and worshipped at the Geyer Springs Church of Christ. In 1986 he and Evie married and they made their home in Searcy. In 1987, he opened and operated the Searcy Battery Warehouse, until his illness Dwight is survived by his wife, Evelyn Evie Allen Stroud Baxley, 4 daughters, Kimberly Long (Scotty) of Little Rock, Holly Reed of Little Rock, Ginger Tippit (Joel) of Russellville, and Dawn Nabours (Michael) of Searcy; two sons, Stephen Stroud of Clarksville and Tim Stroud (Maynette) of Conway; twelve grandchildren, Danielle, Carly, Dylan, Seth, Olivia, Alex, Tanner, Grace, Lexie, Zoe, Mason and Sophia; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Baxley as well as nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, infant Patsy Baxley and Iva Jo Strawn, and a brother, Donald Baxley. He loved his family very much. Visitation will be at the Church of Christ, Searcy, Arkansas at 9 a.m., , 2, 2015 followed by a Celebration of Life at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Arkansas Hospice, 210 N. Apple St., Searcy, Arkansas 72143 or the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, AR 72207. |

Obituary: Bobby Bautts, DDS, 86, passed away on , 19, 2017 in his hometown of Rogers, Arkansas. He was born on 11, 1930 in Rogers to Ed and Alpha (Duree) Bautts. Dr. Bautts received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He was a member of the Xi Si Phi fraternity and received an honorary alumnus from the University of Colorado Medical , School of Dentistry. He opened his first practice in Durango, Colorado in 1958 and continued his professional success as the Director of Allied Programs at the University of Southern Colorado, where he developed and wrote the curriculum for a new dental hygiene program. He also served as a surgical staff member for five Colorado hospitals. He returned to Rogers and worked as a clinical dentist, specializing in endodontics until 2010. . Bobby respected his profession and perfected his dental expertise for 52 years. He had a love and passion for providing dental care and those who were fortunate to be his patient or work by his side knew his level of dignity and professionalism. Bobby married Wanda Louise Hunt in 1950, in Rogers. were happily married for 67 years. She was the love of his life and his best friend, followed by the love for his three daughters and grandchildren. He loved the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the great outdoors and horses. He enjoyed carpentry and mentoring of dental professionals as an educator and a colleague. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Alpha, and his siblings Betty Jean (his twin) and Don Ed (older brother). Bobby is survived by his wife Wanda of Rogers, Arkansas; his daughters Teresa and Michael Robinson of Bentonville, Arkansas; Jackie Bautts Sanders of Gilberts, Illinois; and Holly and Quentin Kidd of Newport News, Virginia; his grandchildren Jennifer Robinson, Rebecca Robinson and Brandon Dougherty; great-grand children Jared Dougherty, Taylor Cassat and Reagan Cassat. |
