Obituary: Marcus and Frances Frederick Bauer welcomed Florentine into their family 29, 1916. She entered St. Scholastica Convent in 1931 and on her investing day she received the name of Sister Consuella . For 21 years she taught in the elementary and high schools in Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri. She was principal at St. Scholastica Academy nine years, Superintendent of Arkansas Catholic Schools for four years; Diocesan Director of Religious Education for eight years; and community secretary for eight years. She also worked in Pastoral Ministry in North Little Rock. Sister Consuella, 94 of St. Scholastica passed away , 03, 2011. Vespers for the dead will be 7:30 PM , 4, 2011 at St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel. Obituary: Grace Marie Booth Bauer, 85, of Little Rock passed away on , 5th. Born 19, 1930 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of Ben and Anna Booth. Grace graduated from Mount Saint Mary Academy in Little Rock. She met her husband Rudolph “Rudy” Bauer in Little Rock in 1952. celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in of this year. Grace was a lifelong Catholic and a charter member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she volunteered for numerous projects and also served as Christ the King Church secretary for several years. Grace served on the board of the Roland Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in upgrading the department’s fire engines and equipment. Grace was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Pat Booth. Survivors include husband, Rudy; sons, Bruce Bauer and his wife, Denise Bauer and Mark Bauer and his wife, Beth Milligan Bauer of Little Rock. The light of her life were her grandchildren, Matthew Bauer and his wife, Casey, of Alexandria, VA, and Jordan Bauer of Little Rock. She was delighted to meet her first great grandson, Perrin Bauer, born in 2016. She is also survived by her brother Leon Booth and two sisters Helen and Mildred. Grace had a special place in her heart for her family’s farm, watching over, improving and caring for the land, wildlife and much loved family pets. She was an intelligent, soft spoken and patient person who had a great respect for nature. Devoted to her family and friends, Grace was a wonderful role model. When challenges came, her strength was derived from her solid faith in God. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 8th at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth at 5800 12th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Richard Davis, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Catholic High School for Boys. |

Dean was born in Berkley, California to the late John and Dorthea Bauer. high school, Dean attended Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Obituary: Former School Superintendent dies at 93. Charles Phillip Bauer, 93, of Judsonia, died , May 11, 2015 in Searcy. Born 28, 1921, in Judsonia, he was the youngest child of James Alexander Bauer, Sr. and Quro Anne Quick Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jean Rae Keith Bauer; three brothers, Floyd Bauer, Ralph Bauer, and James Alexander Bauer; two sisters, Mona Loudermilk and Norma Young. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maxine Richards Bauer; five children, Melissa Lacy (Jerry) of Judsonia, Leah Miller (Donnie) of Searcy, Marilyn Richards of Indianapolis, Paul Richards (Sharon) of Bentonville and Joe Richards (Trish) of Greenbrier; six grandchildren, Matthew Miller (Carrie) of Little Rock, Meredith Lacy of Searcy, Nolan Richards of Bentonville, William Joseph Dyer of Indianapolis, IN, Janessa Chambers (Nathan) of Greenbrier, and Carley Richards of Greenbrier and two great-granddaughters, Caroline and Samantha Miller of Little Rock; one sister, Mary Elizabeth (Libba) Patterson of Novato, California. Mr. Bauer graduated from Judsonia High School in 1940 where he was an all-state basketball player. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Aleutian Island, Philippines, Okinawa, and Leyte. He was the recipient of two bronze star medals. Following the war, he was awarded a full scholarship to Oklahoma City where he played basketball and then transferred to Harding where he earned a bachelors degree in secondary education. He received his masters degree in school administration from George Peabody in Nashville, Tennessee. His entire educational career was spent with the Judsonia Public Schools where he was a history teacher, basketball coach, high school principal, and was named Superintendent of Schools in 1955. He retired from that position in 1982. He was a dedicated Christian man and served as a deacon for many years. A natural born athlete, he loved basketball, tennis and golf. He enjoyed working with cattle and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted leader in the public school system, in his church, and in his community. A gentle, but strong man who touched the lives of many, he was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy. Visitation will be held , May 17, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy with funeral services to immediately follow. Interment will be in the Evergreen in Judsonia.
