Leona Marie Daugherty was born 27, 1922 to William (Bill) M. Daugherty and Orlena (Caudill) Daugherty in Jasper , MO Leona passed away 12, 2017 at the age of 94 in Calico Rock, AR. Leona was the 3rd of 5 live births to Bill & Orlena. Thelma (Paul) Cole, Orville Leroy (died age 2), Raymond Eugene (Elva Mitchell). William Leonard (Emojene “Jean” McGill). All are deceased except our precious Aunt Jean. In 1941, Leona married George Oren Barnes and to this union 5 children were born. Melva Dean (Bob) Johnson Des Arc, AR, Gale Oren (Joy Flemming) Buffalo, MO, Gary Leon (Carol Hogue) Calico Rock, AR, Donna Marie (Ken Anderson) Barnes, Prairie Village, KS and Deanne Lynn (Stephen Cervantes) San Diego, CA. Melva Dean and Donna Marie are enjoying both their parents in Heaven today. Their children blessed them with 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. Oren and Leona raised their family on a farm near Rome in Douglas , MO. In 1965, they moved to Kansas City, MO. There Leona spent many years as a Supervisor with B G Maintenance. Today, Leona and Oren are united again with their 2 lovely daughters, a grandson, Ronny and a precious great granddaughter, Peyton with the Lord. Pallbearers will be: Kenny Anderson, Joey Barnes, Todd Barnes, Mike Daugherty, Wendell Daugherty and Tony Michael. Honoree Pallbearers: Ken Anderson, Jay Barnes, Cary Cave, Steve Cervantes, Nicholas Fry, David Hogue, Bob Johnson and Johnny Johnson. Obituary: Janice Victoria (Morris) Barnes, of Searcy, passed away 22, 2015 at White Medical after a lengthy battle with cancer. She worked for Babcock Farms and then for the last twenty-seven years she worked for Searcy care. She was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping at Hurricane bottoms. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, friends and family. She was very loved and she will be missed dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Barnes; her parents, two brothers, and one grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Anna Mulherin and her husband James of Bald Knob, Joy Laverne Long and her husband Robert of Searcy, Melissa Kay Katie Everett and her husband Andrew of Huntsville; sons, William Marshall Barnes of Texas and Timothy Ray Barnes and his wife Shelly of Searcy; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Ann Everett of Warren, Patsy Petit of Searcy, Yvetta Hayes of Warren; brothers, Ira Derrell Morris of Judsonia and Vernon Morris of Hampton; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted , 25, 2015, 10:00 a.m., Powell in Bald Knob.
