Obituary: Norma A. Burgess, 91 of Huntington passed away at 2:00 pm on , 8, 2015. Norma was a 1942 graduate of Huntington High School. high school, she worked as a secretary for the Russ Dinius Insurance Agency. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper for Burgess Oil . She was a life member of Central Christian Church where she had served in various leadership positions with the administrative board, trustees, womens ministries and the church foundation board. She sang in the church choir for over 60 years. She was a member of the Altrusa Club, Child Welfare Club and was a past member of ABWA of Huntington. She enjoyed playing cards with the Merry Widows Club. Norma was born on 3, 1924 in Huntington, a daughter of Oliver and Bertha (Morrow) Huston. She was united in marriage to Charles S. Burgess on 1, 1947 at Central Christian Church. He preceded her in death on 29, 1975. She later married Ted Burgess on 30, 1977 at Central Christian Church. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1980. Survivors include two daughters: Connie (Terry) Holzheuer of Huntington; Nancy Burgess of Fort Wayne; three stepsons: Ronald Burgess of Arizona; Steven Burgess of LaFontaine; Timothy Burgess of Chicago; four grandchildren: Robert Holzheuer, James Holzheuer, Lauren Urschel, Candace Holzheuer; three step grandsons and two step granddaughters and a great grandson Henry Urschel She was preceded in death by a brother: Norris Huston, a sister: Thalia Tate Meese, a brother-in-law Bob Meese, a sister-in-law: Grace Huston and a step grandchild. Visitation will be held on , 12, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Myers Huntington Chapel. service will be held on , 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Myers Huntington Chapel with Dr. Sam Young officiating. Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory in Marion. Memorial donations can be made out to Huntington Boys & Girls Club in care of Myers , 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750. |

Obituary: Joyce Ann Burgess, 71, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 5:30 AM, , 28th, 2015 at her residence. Joyce was born in Milan, IN on 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Jean (Chapin) and Orville Huffman. She was a homemaker and member of the Sparta Baptist Church. Joyce was a graduate of Moores Hill High School, Class of 1962. On 16, 1962 she married Howard Burgess who survives her. Howard and Joyce were married over 53 years. In addition to her husband Howard, Joyce is survived by a son,Tony Burgess (Lori) of Square, IN; by a grandson Collin Burgess; by a sister, Anna Mae Kuebel, of Guilford, IN; by two brothers, Gerald Huffman of Osgood, IN and Alfred Huffman of Moores Hill, IN. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers Rosco and Charles Huffman. services will be 1 PM, , 2 at the Markland in Rising Sun, IN. Friends are invited to call 11AM-1PM at Markland .
