Obituary: Virgil R. Benge, 67, of New Ross, passed away on , Feb. 2, 2015 at Methodist Hospital. Born 13, 1947, he was the son of Henry H. and Hazel (Maddox) Benge. Virgil served in the United States Armed Forces from 21, 1966 to 20, 1968. He worked over 40 years at R. R. Donnelleys. He was a strong provider, a great Dad and Pappaw and a wonderful brother, son and uncle. He was a kind, generous, loving person with a big heart of gold. He is dearly loved and will be missed beyond words. He was married to Sherry Farley in 1965. had four children: Samuel Travis (Karen) of Crawfordsville, Sarah of New Ross, Sally (Lee) of Tennessee and Steven Tyler, who is deceased, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, James Benge (Marge) and Donald Benge (Brenda) both of Crawfordsville, and sisters, Martha McCullough (Russel) of Crawfordsville, Mary Riley (Larry) of Jamestown and Rebecca Shaw (Wayne) of Mace. He married Vicki Taylor and then later married Betty Brooks, who survives. Through his marriage to Betty he gained a mother, Marie, a son, Brian (Melissa), a daughter, Missy (Fred) and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Cecil Buddy Benge and Samuel Sammy Benge, son, Steven Tyler Benge and granddaughter, Katie Benge. Family and friends will gather , 7, 2015, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Porter , Jamestown, Indiana. Services will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Hortin officiating. Obituary: Richard (Dick) R. Benge, 62, Roachdale, passed away suddenly on 3, 2013, while hiking with his grandsons. Born on 27, 1951 in Indianapolis to Les and Barbara (Taylor) Benge. precede him in death. He worked at AT & T for 17 years as a field coordinator. Formally, had been employed at Wood-Mizer in Indianapolis. Richard is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Sanders) Benge; two children, Kristina Yeley, husband Robert, of Danville, and Sarah Colon, husband Joseph, of Charles Town, West Virginia; two brothers, Tom Benge, wife Norma, and Doug Benge, wife Jane; three sisters, Linda Muller, Toni Roland, husband David, and Judi Sigman, husband Steve; three step-children; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was a strong Christian man, hard working, caring, fun loving, and always had a joke for everyone. He loved spending time outdoors. Dicks greatest joys were spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them to fish, swim, and ride 4 wheelers and archery. He attended Calvary Fellowship Church in Greencastle. services will be held at 1:00 pm on , 10, 2013 at the Bittles and Hurt with Pastor Rick Fay of Calvary Fellowship Church officiating. Obituary: Patricia L. (Quirk) Benge was invited into her eternal home on , 15, 2015. Welcomed by a host of heavenly angels and hugged by her loved ones who had gone on before her. Patricia was born on 1, 1930 to her loving parents, Edward and Dorthea (Fred) Quirk. She grew up in the small town of Sharpsville, Indiana, where she spent years helping her mother to raise a family of twelve brothers and sisters. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She had attended Sharpsville Schools and was well educated on how to love and raise a family. Patricia worked as a carhop at a local Diner. One day her beauty caught the eye of a piano playing gentleman John R. Benge, who later became her wedded husband for forty-seven years, before he was also invited home to be with the Lord. Patricia, who was mostly known to many as Patty would spend years taking care of countless children, and was successful in being the first woman to establish a local union for abysitters. Many children have grown up under the teaching and loving guidance of Patty. Later in life she found herself working in several different workplaces that were graced by her love and willingness to befriend even the unkind of them all. Patty worked at T-way, Whitacres, Wallmans and Big R; many knew her as he cookie lady. Patty retired from the workforce at age 65, but she never retired from working. Patty was the matriarch of her family. Always busy about making sure that the parties were scheduled, the cards were sent, the phone calls were made and the hugs and kisses and I love yous were given. Everyone that knew Patty knew that she had a deep love for her Lord Jesus Christ. Patty attended church from the time she was small, she left this world as a member of In His Image Church, where she loved each and every one of the people she ever met. Patty loved her Pastor, Brad Swain, and was an active prayer warrior even upon her death. Patty will forever be loved and will never be forgotten by her surviving relatives; son; Michael Benge, and wife, Carol, Peru, daughters; Vickie Candlish, and her husband, Fred, Marta Oberlander, and her husband, Jim, Kokomo, six grandchildren; Joseph Benge, and wife, Tammy, Chris Benge, and wife, Rene, Peru, Michelle Doak, Darla Kelley, and husband, Steve, Dana Candlish, and Cora Oberlander, Kokomo, ten great-grandchildren; Stacia, Jennifer, Quinton, Gabriel, Michael, Daisy, Victoria, Christian, Sunshine and Raina, brothers; Max Quirk, and his friend, Della, Galveston, Louis Quirk, and his wife, Shirley, Monticello, Martin Quirk, PD Quirk, and his wife, Janet, Sharpsville, Wayne Quirk, and his wife, Patti, Kokomo, sisters; Martha Quirk, Kokomo, and Louise Glaze, (Quirk) and her husband, Jo Dohn, Selma. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law; Miriam Quirk, Marion, Barbara Quirk, Kokomo, Mary-lou Shepard, Kokomo, and a very special friend she considered as a sister, Mary Gwenn Wainscott (Depew) and her children too, Deanna and Donnie. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great-grandchild; Gage, four brothers; Michael, Ed, John, and Jim Quirk, and her father and mother-in-law; Harold and Edith Benge. services will be at 11:00 AM , 20, 2015 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, with Pastor Brad Swain officiating.
