Obituary: Nancy Barber, 61, of Fort Wayne, IN, was surrounded by loved ones when she passed away , 17, 2016. Nancy was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Albert and Irene Harrison on 27, 1954. In 1978, she moved to Henryville, IN with the love of her life and best friend, husband Steve Barber. later moved to Fort Wayne in 1987. Nancy gave the gift of music to the many students she influenced as a teacher. She had the opportunity to teach in the Brentwood School District of Brentwood PA; the West Clark School District of Henryville, IN; and the Indian Meadows Elementary School and Lafayette Elementary School in Southwest School District of Fort Wayne. Nancy was happiest when she was with her family and quietly helping others. She also will be remembered for the way she loved and cared for her dogs. Her profound work will have a lasting impact on the stead Spartan Alliance Band community. She is survived by her beloved husband Steve; children, Jennifer and Christopher; sister Susan (Bill) Rossetti; sister-in-laws, Jan (the late Don) Parker; and Sharon (Gary) Pfister; father and mother-in-law Richard and Marguerite Barber; and several nieces and nephews. Service is 10:00 am, , 24, 2016 at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Rd. S., with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also at The Chapel on , 23, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Obituary: EVANSVILLE, IN - On this day 31st, 2015 Mary Alice Barber(Oglesby) has rendezvoused with the love of her life, her late husband Bobbie R. Barber. Mary Alice passed surrounded by her 3 girls at her home in Evansville. She was a very loved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. She was born in Beech Creek, in Muhlenberg Ky 14th,1932 . She attended Hughes- Kirk High School and had been baptized at Hazel Creek Baptist Church. As a young woman she worked as a nurses assistant in the TB Hospital and VA Hospitals in Nashville,TN, Mercy Hospital in Owensboro,KY, Louisville and Greenville Hospitals. Later in life,she worked in several nursing homes in IN and KY and several department stores. She was a wonderful homemaker, loved talking about her family and family history, a great story teller, loved to dance and loved Earnest Tubb and she and Dad loved watching their grandson Matt. She enjoyed all her vacations she was able to take in her retirement years. She went to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Florida, Alabama, Niagra Falls, The Biltmore Mansion and last year she went to the Turner Classic Movie Film Festival and stayed in the famous Del Coronado Hotel where the movie Some Like it Hot was filmed, many trips to our favorite resort in Florida and was the best looking woman in a bathing suit at the pool. She was the mother of 4 daughters, Deborah G. LaVine(deceased), Bonnie T. Piers from Greenfield IN, Betty C. Shelton(Patrick) from Evansville, and Pamela A. Porter from Evansville. She also leaves 6 Grandchildren, Sabrina Korlowicz( Doug), Monica Tennant(Beau),Brad Partin, Heather Shelton, Matthew Porter and Clay Partin(Ashley); 4 Great-grandchildren, Dalton, Kaelyn , Jack and Audrey; sister Rosalie Hardin(Eugene) of Owensboro,Ky; brother David Oglesby(Julie) of Lewisburg,Ky; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobbie Ray Barber, parents James Murley Oglesby and Gladys D. Oglesby(Overby), her eldest daughter Deborah G. Obituary: Rev. Clara Mae Barber, 86, of Kokomo, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:45 PM, , May 21, 2015 at North Woods Village. She was born 22, 1929, in Muncie, to Isaac Newton Garrett and Mary Hannah Garrett. On 3, 1947, in Muncie, she married Rev. Bob G. Barber, and he survives. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1947. She was an ordained minister in the Foursquare Gospel Church. Clara loved to read, do word search puzzles, and spend time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include, a son, David and wife Ellen Barber of Kokomo; son, Michael Barber of Kokomo; daughter, Mary and husband Jeff Graves of Kokomo; brother, James Garrett of Frisco, CO; grandchildren, Teresa Anthony, Zack and wife Ashley Barber, Zane and wife Contessa Barber, M. Joshua Barber, Robert and wife Monica Barber, Becky and husband Jeremy Pentland, and Kimberly and husband Dustin McLochlin; 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a daughter in law Pamela Barber, and a grandson Chad Barber. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 1900 S. Berkley Road, with Pastor Jeff Russell and Pastor Sharol Eaker officiating.
