Obituary: TWIN FALLS | Irene Eldredge Barton, 98, of Twin Falls died , 3, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loved ones. services will be held on , 10, 2015 at 11:00am at the Twin Falls LDS Stake located at 2085 South Temple Drive, Twin Falls. Viewings will be held on , 9th from 6pm to 8pm at the White Mortuary located at 136 4th Avenue East, Twin Falls; and prior to the funeral services from 9:45am to 10:45am on . Irene was born 11, 1917 in y, Idaho to Worthington Castelle and Margaret Elizabeth Eldredge. She was their only daughter, raised with four sons: Earl Worthington, James Leland, Merlin J, and Louis Mac. She graduated from y High School and always appreciated the good people in her hometown who influenced and helped shape her life. Irene was called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Western States Mission based in Omaha, Nebraska from 1937 to 1939. On her return, she married Owen J Barton of y on 9, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was always an active member of her church and served in many capacities over the years. Owen and Irene began farming on the Little Wood River near y, where they started their family of five children: two sons and three daughters. In 1952, they moved their family to the Diamond A Ranch located near Jarbidge, Nevada. Irene enjoyed the dual role of spending summers on the ranch and winters in Twin Falls, where the children attended school. She created a wonderful home for her family in both places. Owen and Irene retired from ranch life in 1989 and moved back to Twin Falls. Upon the death of her husband, Owen, in 1995 she dedicated her life to her family and service in the church. She did extensive genealogical research and compiled numerous family histories for her posterity. She also enjoyed her associations with dear friends. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband and great-grandson. She is survived by her children, Robert Owen (Carol) of Twin Falls; Margaret (Cliff) Wilson of Nampa; Linda Nilson of Twin Falls; Bonnie (Brad) Bandy of Rupert; and William J of Boise; as well as sixteen grandchildren and forty-two great grandchildren. Irene was always an example of hard work and exceptional values. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, tireless service, hospitality, unconditional love to all she met, genuine kindness and gracious dignity. The ripple effect of her goodness will be remembered by all of those whose lives she has touched. The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Lukes Magic Valley Medical , Visions Hospice and all other caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the General Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Obituary: Nora C. Bartley, age 88, passed away on , 17, 2014 due to heart failure. She was born to William and Sarah Cunningham of Turtle Creek, PA on 8, 1926. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in and as a Cadet Nurse in 1948. On May 21, 1949, Nora married Leon Sloan Brick Bartley, a business administration graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a returning WWII veteran. Nora began and finished her nursing career at the Veterans Administration at Highland Drive in Pittsburgh, retiring in 1987, with a 33-year career that progressed from a staff nurse to supervisor. In 2004, she moved to Boise, ID to be near her daughter Natalie Bartley. Noras hobbies included traveling, volunteering, painting in various mediums, needle pointing, reading, gardening and decorating. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, sister Dorothy Genre and brother Henry Cunningham. Nora is survived by her: daughter Natalie Bartley, son-in-law Dave Lindsay, grand-dog Bruneau, sister Shirley Cunningham, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Nora will be greatly missed by her daughter, family, long-term friends and new friends. Heartfelt gratitude goes out from the family to the numerous warm and caring staff of Morning Star Senior Living of Boise, Horizon & Hospice, Life Doors , Life of Boise and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical .
