Obituary: Mrs. Murnette Robinson Baird, age 86, of Toccoa, passed away , 23, 2015 at Landmark Hospital in Athens. Born 15, 1928 in Edwardsville, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late W. Frank and Hattie Bannister Robinson. She was the widow of Rev. Jabel Robert J.R. Baird Jr. Mrs. Baird was a homemaker and a resident of the Tates Creek Community. She loved her family, grandchildren, her bible, puzzles, marbles, being a ministers wife, and serving the Lord. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Family members include sons and daughter-in-laws, Robin and Trudy Baird of Toccoa, Mark and Diane Baird of Lexington, Ga., and John and Tonya Baird of Toccoa; a daughter-in-law, Ramona Baird of Toccoa; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Faye Robinson of Alabama; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Donnie Baird; brothers, Hubert Robinson and David Robinson; and sisters, Myrtice Hughes, Reba Cheatwood, and Jean Woodard. services will be held at two oclock , 27, 2015 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God with the Rev. Charles Reese and the Rev. Austin Ivester officiating. Burial will follow at Roselane . The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm , 26, 2015. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Robin Baird, Mark Baird, John Baird, Marcus Baird, Matthew Newsome, Jimmy Ford, Bill Smith, and Joey Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Robinson, Marvin Chancey, and Merl Jordan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice in memory of Mrs. Baird. Obituary: Mary Mimi Hughes Baird passed away , 25, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM in Macon Memorial Park . Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. Obituary: John Taylor (Jack) Baird, age 88 of Johns Creek GA passed away peacefully on May 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. He is survived by Barbara (Kreps), his loving wife of 59 years, children John (Karen) Baird of Maineville OH, Nancy (Chris) Simon, of Commerce Twp. MI, and Kathy (Doug) Laughlin of Alpharetta GA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. serving our country in the Army in Italy during WWII, Mr. Baird graduated from Albion , and served in various business and senior management capacities during a 40 year career. He was a recognized lifetime member of the American Legion Post 217 in Wyandotte MI, and was generous benefactor for many various charities and causes. He was a member of Rivermont Country Club for 35 years, and with his wife enjoyed spending time there with their many friends. To celebrate his life, a gathering of friends and family will take place on , May 8 at the Rivermont Country Club, Johns Creek GA. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his name to the Alzheimers Association or to a preferred charity. |
