Amos, sons, Blade and Cameron Smith, mother, Mary Ann Amos Anderson (Wayne), sisters, Brenda Burgess (Anthony) and Margo Finch (Ronald), step-sister, Sharon Houston (Derrick), brother, Dwayne Amos (Jenni) and special brother, Bobby Neal Amos (Shan), granddaughter, Crimson Smith, nephews and nieces, Kyle Burgess, Tyler Finch (Lindsey), Kaleb Burgess (Mallory), Heather Finch (Victor Zamora), Kolby Burgess, Maggie Amos and Jack Amos, great-nephew, Cayden Finch, great nieces Kamrynn Burgess and Karsynn Burgess, grandmother, Mildred Brown, several cousins, aunts and uncles. Obituary: service for Mr. Floyd Daniel Amos, 70, of Rabbittown, will be 3:00 PM, , 11, 2014, at the chapel of Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Burgess Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Rabbittown Baptist . The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM night at the funeral home. Mr. Amos went home to meet his Savior at Trinity Medical in Birmingham. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Amos of Rabbittown; daughters, Brenda Burgess (Anthony) of Choccolocco and Margo Finch (Ronald) of Rabbittown; sons, Troy Amos of Oxford, Dwayne Amos (Jenni) of Centre, and Bobby Neil Amos (Shan) of Foley; sister, Mary Haynes (LJ); brothers, Charles Amos (Stacy), Kenneth Amos, Gerald Amos, and Tommy Amos. grandchildren, Kyle Burgess, Tyler Finch (Lindsey), Kaleb Burgess (Mallory), Heather Finch (Victor), Kolby Burgess, Maggie Amos, and Jack Amos; great grandchildren, Cayden Finch and Kamrynn Burgess . Mr. Amos is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Nathlee Amos; and brothers and sisters, John L. Amos, Duie Lee Amos, Cathryn Waits, Edward Amos, Odell Amos, Geneva Smith, and Jeanette Johns. Pallbearers will be Bobby Neil Amos, Kyle Burgess, Tyler Finch, Kaleb Burgess, Victor Zamora, Kolby Burgess, and Jack Amos. Mr. Amos was born in Etowah , AL in 1944 and was the 11th of 13 children. In 1964 he married his "baby" Mary Ann; the two went on to have 4 children together. An avid sports fan his entire life, Mr. Amos was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the White Plains Wildcats. He played many sports throughout his life, including baseball and basketball at Livingston Jr. High and Cherokee High School. Other hobbies also included his beloved beagles which he used to hunt rabbits and his coon hounds to hunt coons all over Northeast Alabama. Mr. Amos was involved in his community and always helped his neighbors in need. For almost 30 years he provided for his family by working as a welder at the Anniston Army Depot until he retired in 1995. Mr. Amos was a beloved husband, father, Paw Paw Bear, and friend who will be deeply loved and missed.
